About 2 weeks ago I came across a brand new collection of specialty bath
products being sold at Target. I was instantly drawn to them because
they reminded me so much of Lush bath and body products, and seeing that
we do not have a lush anywhere near us, I settled for trying out One.
I hated the bath bomb I tried a week ago, but loved the solid
conditioner bar that smelled like fresh banana's. This week when I went
in to do my usual routine shopping I naturally checked out the products
One had on the shelves. I was hoping to find something new, and I did.
I ended up picking up One Hair Biscuit, which is a solid shampoo bar. I
liked how well the solid conditioner bar worked, so I hoped that The
One Hair Biscuit would work just as well. The scent was what initially
caught me though, it has a stunning floral mix of honey suckle blossoms,
mixed with gardenia flowers. I loved it, the scent was strong,
powerful, and I hoped that it would leave this scent behind in my hair
after using it.
My Use:
I wet my hair, and then wet the One Hair Biscuit Shampoo Bar. I then
began to run the bar around in my hair until a nice thick lather formed.
I was very happy with the amount of suds in the lather, because the
conditioner bar was not as bountiful. Hair Biscuit however foams,
lathers, and a small amount of strokes to the head goes a long, long
way.
I imagine this shampoo bar will last longer than a bottle of shampoo.
As I rubbed the suds around, the gorgeous florals filled the room. It
was an uplifting experience with aromatherapy, and the mood you are
placed in will be one you associate with summer. It's really lovely.
After rinsing my hair was not left dry, which happens with many
shampoos I use, even very expensive ones. One Hair Biscuit however
moisturized, which was an unexpected extra treat.
All in all, I loved the shampoo bar. It left behind the scent, left my hair moisturized, and is such a unique form of shampoo.
The Cons:
Now the cons I have with One Hair Biscuit is the fact that it comes
with a free tin. The tin is great to have, but nearly impossible to pry
open when your hands are wet. They should have made the tin a screw off
lid. The tin is used to store your bar in afterward, but truly is a
wretched thing to try and pry apart while you're in the shower or bath.
You literately have to dry your hands off in order to get the lid off.
The freebie coupon. I now have 4 of them, and was very disappointed in
the way they handled fulfilling the free lip balm offer.
You see inside of each One product, you will find a little thin
cardboard piece of paper letting you know you can have a free lip balm
by One, if you go online and fill out a survey.
I was thinking this would be simple, until I went onto the site, and
saw that they required you to send in the small little note to an
address in order to get your free lip balm. Why they couldn't just add a
coupon number to the paper for you to give to them online in a form, is
still baffling to me, and it would have made it a lot easier to redeem.
So I have 4 unused coupons, which I won't be mailing out, which annoys
me.
Now the cons have nothing to do with Hair Biscuit in particular, just a
little something the company should work on, because overall I have
been loving their products, and I especially love this shampoo bar. I
cannot wait to see what they come up with next!
