How to Apply Black Eyeliner for Women with Almond-Shaped Eyes

I absolutely love my almond shaped eyes. I find it to be a rare shape to the eyelid, and working with makeup is dream because we can use lots of bold colors, with piles of eyeliner to get the eye to look even more exotic and unique than usual.

A favorite of mine is creating Cleopatra eyes, (also known as, cat eyes) using deep dark black eyeliner.
Before applying any eyeliner though, you will first want to coat your eye with your favorite colored eyeshadow. If you apply eyeliner before eyeshadow, the eyeshadow will fall into the eyeliner fading out the natural deep dark color.

So first apply your eyeshadow, and then you will work with your eyeliner. For the best eyeliner you want to go with a waterproof, fade-proof, and smudge proof liner. Nearly every makeup company known will have an eyeliner with all of these properties, so pick your favorite.

The easiest and most flawless solution to creating a winged tip at the outer corner of your eyes is to start right at the outer area, closest to your ears. You want to create a thick swoop that will extend out further than where your eyelid ends. This is your wing tip.

Most people start with the inner eyelid, and work their way out, but it is a lot easier to mess up if you do not have a steady hand, so work on the outer tips first and slowly make your way in with the eyeliner, all the way to the inner most lid, near your nose.

You can go over the line a few times to make it thicker and bolder. Bold is in this year, so if you are used to making thin lines, make it a little thicker than usual by coating the line a few times, I think you will really love the results.

Black eyeliner is always going to be a favorite because it really highlights the eyes, and allows the eye color to shine in all its glory. Black eyeliner on women with light colored eyes like blue or green are especially going to look fantastic. For women with almond shaped eyes however, black liner allows the eye to look much larger than usual.

Usually almond shaped eye lids already look rather large on their own, add a bit of black liner and your eyes will look really big, and scream look at me. They are an attention grabber without a doubt.
Applying black eyeliner only requires 2 things. A steady hand, and a long lasting fade proof eyeliner. The rest is up to you, on how you apply it, and how much you add. Like I said though, bold is in, so thicken things up a bit.
