Review: TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo

I have always liked products by TIGI, but avoided them more often than not due to the very high price tag associated with their products. This past week though, when I was out looking for a new sister duo of shampoo and conditioner, my eye caught the teal colored bottles by TIGI Catwalk. Oatmeal and Honey Shampoo.

The shampoo was priced high, but not as high as the much smaller bottle of conditioner. The shampoo came with a cool full 12 ounces of shampoo for $10.89. I would normally leave something this expensive behind, but the moment I plucked up the bottles plastic cork screw lid and inhaled the beautiful fragrances that the shampoo let out, I did not hesitate. I grabbed the shampoo and the conditioner. I loved the scent, and I had to have it!

The Scent:

This was what sold me. I did not care about the benefit's of moisture, shine, and vitamins A,B, and E. The scent had me enchanted. It was sweet like candy corn, with a dash of real honey, and sugar. It reminded me a lot of Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids handmade bar soap. Sweet, creamy, and easy to fall in love with.

My Use:

The shampoo itself is semi thick, and a very small amount manages to work into very thick frothy suds. I scrubbed the shampoo through my hair for a good minute or so, while I enjoyed the fragrances it put out into the air.

After rinsing, my hair was left a little drier than I was expecting. For nearly $11, I imagined the shampoo would leave my hair feeling somewhat moisturized like many Nexxus shampoo's are capable of doing. TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey Shampoo however left my hair the complete opposite. It was not a parched dry feeling like some shampoos leave behind, but it was a dry feeling nonetheless.
Thankfully the conditioner worked away the dry feeling.

All in all, I feel that the shampoo is a good shampoo as it smells fantastic, however I do think that for the best optimal results you are going to want to purchase the sister conditioner for really soft, shiny hair.

The plus side about the shampoo and conditioner when used together is that your hair will be left smelling like a dashing cup of sugar and honey. The scent is delicious and this alone is why I would recommend it still.
