Clean & Clear Morning Burst products have always been my top
favorite products when it comes to facial care. It's not only the
results that I am after though, it is the scent. I am clearly addicted to Clean & Clears uplifting citrus scent that they use in their products.
When browsing my local Target this past week I came across 2 new
products in the Morning Burst collection that I just had to try. There
were 2 different scents to choose from, and seeing how I have always
been more fond of the citrus scent, I went with Clean & Clear, Citrus Morning Burst Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C and Ginseng. (You may also buy this product in a citrus lime scent).
Appearance:
Now I am used to purchasing Morning Burst products in squeeze tubes,
so I was pretty excited to see that their newest cleanser was being sold
in a clear plastic pump bottle. I liked it, I figured it would make it
easier to get the product out of the bottle.
Inside of the bottle there is a clear jelly like liquid which is the
cleanser. Floating throughout the cleanser you can clearly see a whole
slew of orange colored micro-beads that when dissolved leave behind a
nice uplifting citrus scent.
The Promise:
Clean & Clear, Citrus Morning Burst Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C
and Ginseng promises to wake you up with its uplifting scent. Leaving
your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and energized.
My Use:
I already knew the micro-beads in this product wouldn't do much for
when it came to exfoliating.
Previous products in the collection use the
same orange colored dissolving beads, and they never did anything much
when it came to exfoliating. I was okay with that though, because really
I am after the energizing citrus scent that it leaves behind. At least I
hope this one left behind the scent anyway.
Anyhow, I pumped around 3 squirts of the cleanser into my palms, ran
it under water for a bit, and began washing my face with it. The
gorgeous citrus scent that I already knew and loved made it's presence
known... only it was a hell of a lot more subtle than other products in
the Morning Burst collection.
The cleanser itself was also pretty slimy feeling on my skin, and it
was even a little tough to rinse off. As I rinsed it felt like the
cleanser was still on my face, and I found that I was rinsing way more
than usual, just to rid my skin of the slimy texture.
Once finally rinsed completely, my skin did feel clean, there is no
denying that. The uplifting citrus scent though was not detectable at
all, which was pretty disappointing, because the main reason I purchased
Clean & Clear, Citrus Morning Burst Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C
and Ginseng, was for the uplifting boost it gives me in the morning. None here though.
The clean feeling on my skin lasted for the majority of the morning.
Overall:
Well I'm not very impressed with Clean & Clear, Citrus Morning
Burst Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C and Ginseng. I have used other
Morning Burst products with really nice results. This one though just
failed to impress. Its uplifting morning scent is very subtle, it takes
awhile to rid the cleanser from your face completely, and it leaves skin
feeling refreshed and clean for only a short amount of time.
Although I do not praise this one, and highly recommend this
particular product, I still would recommend Morning Burst Scrub, which
smells great, leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed, and fills the
senses with an energizing kick. Although this product does not last long
either, it leaves behind a nice citrus scent to wake you up in the
morning.
