Does Maybelline Super Stay 24, 2 Step Lip Color Really Last Long?

I remember when long lasting lip colors first hit the market around 10 years ago, the color would include a small tube of lip conditioning serum to put over the color. Basically you had a tube of color, and a clear tube of lip conditioner to keep the lips hydrated.

The problem 10 years ago was that your lips would get so dry, and the color would sort of crinkle off of your lips leaving this gross and disgusting looking colored, dry, chapped lips. I ended up not bothering with these so called long lasting stains and lip colors due to this bad experience.

I figured though, that when I ran into a new tube of Maybelline Super Stay 24, 2 Step Lip Color, that hopefully 10 years later the old issues would be a thing of the past, and that the long lasting color would finally be perfected.

I am in heaven, I am over the top in heaven with just how well this lip color works. I picked up a tube of Maybelline Super Stay 24, 2 Step Lip Color in a dark colored pink. I prayed it looked as pretty and as pink on my lips as it did in the tube.

According to the tube, you apply the lip color to clean dry lips. Let the color then dry for up to 2 minutes, and then apply the lip conditioner.

The tube is a 2 in 1. On one side you have a small tube of the color, and on the other side you have a twist up stick of the clear lip conditioning.

At first I was nervous because as the color began to dry on my lips, it made them feel beyond dry. However once I was satisfied that the color had dried completely, I then ran a the lip conditioner over the top of the color. My lips now felt moisturized, hydrated, and natural.

A few minutes into applying the conditioner though, my lips felt dry again. However the feeling subsided shortly afterward. What I was left with was ultra colored, ultra beautiful lip color that lasted, and lasted, and lasted, not even showing a sign of fading throughout the day.

I apply lip gloss over it, for shine and still the color remains strong.

All in all, Maybelline Super Stay 24, 2 Step Lip Color works flawlessly. This is by far the best long lasting lip color I have ever used. It is like a lip stain that keeps on going, and it will not budge, even after drinking, eating, smoking, or applying other colors or glosses over it.

I am beyond happy that I decided to give this one a chance, and now I cannot wait to get back to the stores to pick up some other colors.

As far as color last goes, I apply it at 8am in the morning, and the color is still holding strong till I remove it later at night. It truly is that good, and I imagine if I wanted it to, it would remain on my lips for 24 hours.
