Whenever I run out of makeup removal pads, I always restock immediately,
as they work better than any other makeup removal solution I have ever
come across; plus they are a lot neater, and last longer.
I try picking up new makeup removal cleansing cloths whenever I need a
restock, because I find that no 2 are alike, and I am a sucker for new
products, no matter what they are.
When I found a package of Garnier Nutri Pure Wet Cleansing Cloths,
I was pretty happy and could not wait to go home to see how they would
work. For the most part, I have always been pleased with products by
Garnier; although I am pretty used to seeing Garnier only in the hair
care isle, I was happy to see the company branching out into the realm
of facial care. I figure it is only a matter of time before they begin
to release makeup too.
At any rate, the Garnier Nutri Pure Wet Cleansing Cloths came packaged
in a very eye catching green plastic package. The green color was
quickly recognized as being a product by Garnier. Inside of the package
they plopped in 25 cleansing cloths, which sort of bothered me. Usually I
get 30 or more cleansing cloths with other companies, for a much lower
cost. This package of 25 cloths came to $5.99, which is sort of high for
the amount you get.
My Use:
Once home, I was able to put one of these cleansing cloths to the
test. I was wearing foundation, finishing powder, eye shadow, and
eyeliner. Most cleansing cloths have a tough time on my eyeliner, so I
couldn't wait to see how well Garnier Nutri Pure Wet Cleansing Cloths,
would work on removing it.
The first thing I noted while running the cloth across my face was
that the scent matched nearly perfectly to a bottle of Garnier
conditioner I had in my shower. This bothered me a little bit. I
understand that Garnier has this distinct scent, but the last thing I
want is a cleansing cloth that smells like I'm rubbing conditioner or
shampoo all over my face. So there would be my first request for change
when it comes to this product; a new scent.
As far as removing my eyeliner though, these cleansing cloths really
worked a number. I noticed after just 2 swipes at how much of the
eyeliner it removed, and I was pretty happy with the results. As far as
my foundation though, it took a bit of man power to completely remove it
all from my face, and I was a bit disappointed that the cloth was so
small, and I needed to use 2.
All in all though, this is a great cleansing cloth. I would suggest to
Garnier that they saturate the cloth more, change up the scent, and add
more to the package, because I have to use 2 with each use, and that
comes to just 12.5 uses, seeing that the extra one thrown in makes for
an odd number. So you get 12 days of use before you need to go out and
buy another package.
