When it is new, I scoop it up in seconds. I know I have some sort of OCD
when it comes to facial cleansers. But hey, my skin is important, and
at my age I will do everything and anything I can in order to keep it
looking bright, fresh, young and clear.
When I came across Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub I knew I had to try it even though I have not been a hardcore fan of Aveeno over the years.
It came packaged in a natural looking plastic squeeze tube, which not
for nothing, made it look like a plain Jane product. Aveeno, hear me
out...you could really use an improvement in your marketing.
At any rate, after clicking the cap up and taking in the fresh lime like scent, I wanted it. I love products that leave behind that refreshing scent. It's a good kick to start the day, and I liked it a lot.
My Use:
At home, I went straight for the bathroom to try out my new scrub. I
could tell the moment I poured some of the formula into my hand that the
scrub was not going to be harsh at all. The micro pieces inside of the
actual formula were very, very fine, possibly even too fine to do a good
job. Those with sensitive skin though, you will definitely like this
one, because it is not harsh.
This one gently exfoliates, but it also promises to brighten skin, leave it smooth, and leave it soft.
The scrub itself is a bit runny compared to others I have used in the
past. It gave it a medicated feeling due to it's clearish coloring. The
scent though is not medicated in the least bit. It definitely has a nice
lime like zing to it, that is both fresh and likable.
It does exfoliate, and it does so very gently. It removed all signs of
makeup, and after patting my skin dry my face did in fact feel very
fresh, very soft, and clean. The clean fresh feeling lasted for nearly
an hour, and best of all it kept me shine free for the majority of the
day. I especially liked how it left my skin feeling and looking fresh,
while keeping it moisturized at the same time. No dry patches, no dry
skin. Its love for your face in a 5 ounce bottle.
All in all I was not expecting this one to work as well as it did. For
the $6.00 I spent on it, it was money well worth it, and I highly
recommend it.
