When I buy shampoo and conditioner I usually always buy it in sister
pairs. If I pick up the shampoo, I feel like I 'have' to purchase the
conditioner as well in order to see the best results possible. When I
scooped up Paul Mitchell's Super Strong Shampoo, I also bought a bottle of Paul Mitchell Super Strong Conditioner.
Like the shampoo, the conditioner comes in the exact same shaped
bottle as the shampoo. It is a cylinder shaped yodel like container with
a click cap built right into the top of the bottle. The click cap on
the conditioner though is white, not pink like the shampoo. The color
coding makes it easier to recognize the difference between the two.
The purpose of Paul Mitchell Super Strong Conditioner is to strengthen hair, rebuild, protect, and to add moisture and shine.
The scent is equal to the shampoo. It has a fresh scent, with a musk
like undertone to it. It's a nice fragrance, but a fragrance that likely
you have smelled before so it will not wow you in any way.
The conditioner comes with only 10 ounces of product, but you can buy
bottles in larger sizes. The 10 ounce bottle was all they had available
where I bought it, and at nearly $12.00 for 10 ounces, I was in no hurry
to seek out a larger bottle for what would likely cost double what I
paid. I have thick hair though, and I knew this small bottle would not
last long at all. I need to use a lot of conditioner in order for it to
do anything for me.
My Use:
After shampooing with the sister shampoo, I squeezed out a good
handful of the conditioner into my palm and worked it into my hair. I
was impressed with the creamy consistency the conditioner had. It was
thick, but not too thick as to where it would be difficult to spread
through my hair. The color reminded me of frosting, with its light
creamy yellow coloring.
I allowed the conditioner to sit in for 3 minutes, and rinsed. After
rinsing my hair felt exceptionally moisturized, silky, and knot free. I
liked how it felt in the shower, but when I got out and let my hair air
dry, it turned my hair into a very thick mess. I have thick hair
naturally, and the added body was not helpful.
I personally don't like Paul Mitchell Super Strong Conditioner, or
shampoo due to the fact that it added so much extra body to my hair. For
women who want or need extra body though this stuff is sure to please.
Women with thick hair though, you may want to skip out on it, unless you like thick, thick hair that is.
