Treating summer acne is somewhat tough, but preventing summer acne is
really simple. During hotter summer months those prone to acne usually
suffer from oily skin. I know that I personally have more oily skin in
the summertime than I do in the winter time.
Being misinformed can actually lead to more acne than not. During
hotter months many tend to add a lot of acne treatments to their face;
special soaps, micro scrubs, and masques. Overdoing it though could
actually cause the skin to break out even more.
I recommend sticking to one product at a time to see which one works
best for you. Combine 4 treatments to your face, and you will never know
which one worked for you. Combining a lot of products to your face
could also cause break outs!
The best way to prevent summer acne is to add a simple daily
moisturizer to your skin. Drying out the skin actually causes it to grow
more oilier which in turn could lead to pimples. Many tend to try and
dry out their faces to prevent oil, when really adding a moisturizer
will do the trick.
Even if you are using a moisturizer though, you could still
occasionally get break outs. Treating these break outs can be annoying,
and take a bit of time.
I recommend Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask.
This masque will dry out the skin, but it will also dry out the pimple.
After using the mask apply moisturizer, and a lot of it, because Queen
Helene's Mint Julep Mask will really dry out the skin.
Other quick treatments for getting rid of break outs include specially
formulated acne soaps and scrubs. I cannot stress it enough though to
make sure that you follow up with a moisturizer every time you use
something even slightly harsh on your face.
One of the best moisturizing creams is Cerave's Moisturizing Cream. I recommend using this at night, and not during the day, especially i you have oily skin.
The cream is thick and will feel a little nasty on your skin, but
trust me, over a weeks time frame you will notice very drastic, and very
beautiful results to your skin.
Another really awesome solution to both oily and acne prone skin is Lush's Coalface Soap.
This simple licorice scented bar of soap will work wonders when it
comes to leaving your skin as pimple free as possible. Just a few washes
with this soap and you will notice results. Coalface has a tendency to
leave skin feeling really dry, so again make sure you are moisturizing
after washing your face with Coalface.
Some simple tips for keeping pimples away is to avoid touching your
face, and if possible to avoid giving yourself bangs for a hairstyle.
Although the bangs will hide pimples, it will also create them.
Those with acne prone face will definitely have a harder time at
treating acne, considering that as they are treating acne, newer
breakouts could occur.
The best bit of advice though I could give would be to make sure you
are using moisturizer, even those with very oily skin! Moisturizers
allow your skin t breath, if you smother it, the production of oil will
increase
