I absolutely love the fact that my uncle works with really rich clients
in New York, because once in awhile these people literately hand him
gobs of goodie bag filled with all sorts of unused products that they no
longer want lying around. Basically this was exactly how I got a full
bottle of La Mer, The Lifting Face Serum.
I knew from past experiences with La Mer that I really, really loved
the stuff. The last product I used was a cream, that I discovered cost
the price of a week long vacation. Yup, that magic $1,000+ Creme. The
downside was of course that once the cream was all used up, there would
be no way I would ever be able to purchase it on my own.
I wondered if La Mer The Lifting Face Serum, would be the same deal.
Would it work magic, and then end up being so expensive I couldn't
purchase it?
Yes and no.
The price of La Mer The Lifting Face Serum comes to around $250.00.
However if I desperately needed it, I could find it for $23.00 online in
a very tiny trial sized travel bottle. Although you won't get a whole
lot in the travel sized bottle, do note that there is enough to use
daily for around 1 month.
My Use/My Results:
I have been using La Mer The Lifting Face Serum for over a month now,
and figured I would share my results (or lack of) with curious consumers
who are looking for a cure to wrinkles, and aging on their face.
Now the serum itself has a pleasant smell, its nothing toxic, but at
the same time nothing that will really woo you. At any rate its non
bothersome, and a fresh scent. The serum does absorb rather quickly, but
leaves a bit of a sticky texture behind. The stickiness however is
short lived, and you can begin to apply your makeup on top of it shortly
afterward.
I have been using the serum on my skin mostly on my forehead to try
and diminish a small fine line. I also have been using it on my cheeks
to try and shrink some pores.
Sadly my results were not really noticed, in fact my skin pretty much
looks the same as it did when I began to first use La Mer The Lifting
Face Serum. Others have claimed to see wondrous results; for me though
this was not the case.
The price does not justify these lacking results, so I will stick to
my cheap $15.00 serum of Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which is like having
botox in a bottle.
