I have been wanting to try the new Skin Genesis line by L'Oreal since
hearing about it, seeing how I never came across a product in the line
costing less than $12.00 though, I always skipped on it.
Recently though
I came across a bottle of L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel
Cleanser for a fair $6.99 at my local Walmart. I figured if I liked the
cleanser enough, I may be tempted to try out the products that are a bit
more costly in the collection.
Appearance:
L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser comes in an
attractive clear bottle with a standard push down pump. The gel inside
of the bottle is a transparent colored pink, which looks more like
melted down strawberry hard candy.
The label of course displays the name of the product.
The Promise:
According to the advertising on L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing
Gel Cleanser, using it will remove impurities from the skin using it's
gentle skin compatible formula. The cleanser is said to be so efficient
that it will also remove eye makeup!
I could not wait to test that theory, because I use dark eyeliners all
of the time, and I hate having to use greasy eye makeup removal pads to
rid my eye of the dark circles.
My Use:
I pumped around 2 squeezes of the gel into my hand. No micro-beads, or
micro fine scrubs were in the gel, which is definitely a change up for
me. I usually use cleansers with micro-beads thinking that they will
clean my face more throughly.
I began scrubbing L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser
into my face and the smell was the first thing that hit me as
impressive. I absolutely loved the way it smelled. It was like a candy
scented cleanser, and reminded me of watermelon flavored DUM DUM
Lollipops. Funny too, because the gel is sort of a watermelon pink
color.
The gel forms into a very silky bubbly texture which feels great on
the skin, and once you rinse off, your face will feel so much cleaner,
one hundred times fresher, and it will even have a subtle hint of the
scent left behind for you to enjoy for a short time.
Now L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser did not really
moisturize my face, nor did it dry my skin out. It just felt sort of
natural, only very, very clean and fresh.
It did do a decent job of removing my eye makeup, but it did not remove it completely, as I imagined it wouldn't.
Overall:
Although it was not 100% efficient when it came to removing eye
makeup, L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser feels great
while using it, and leaves skin feeling very fresh and clean for quite
some time.
The formula itself if very gentle, and I would recommend it to those
who want their face to feel as clean as it would if they had used a
micro-bead cleanser, yet cannot tolerate the harsh beads.
L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser does just that.
I also recommend it to those who just love clean, fresh skin with
little effort. A quick rinse, splash, and pat dry, and your skin is left
feeling great.
I personally am sold, and I love it. I plan on giving out more products in the L'Oreal Skin Genesis line a try.
Where To Buy:
You can pick up a bottle of L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel
Cleanser at any local superstore for around $7.00. You can also find it
online
