I picked up a tube of Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser this
past weekend simply because it was on the clearance rack at my local
Walmart for only $3.50. When I see a deal like that I cannot pass it up
for the life of me.
The whole idea of a warming cleanser intrigued me, because I had NEVER
in my life seen, or used a cleanser that would warm my skin. I've used
cooling cleansers that make the skin feel cooler, but that was only due
to the mint extracts added to the cleanser. The idea of a warming
cleanser; especially with the cooler months heading our way, seemed
awesome.
Appearance:
Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser comes in your classic squeeze tube,
with your standard click up cap. The cleanser is pretty easy to spot due
to its label, which says exactly what the cleanser is right on the
tube.
The Promise:
According to the packaging using Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser would
warm skin allowing pores to open up to remove deep impurities.
My Use:
Okay, I was pretty shocked the first time using Olay Warming Hydrating
Cleanser. I squeezed a small amount into the palms of my hands, and
brought it to my face. It seemed the moment I began scrubbing the
cleanser into my skin, it released a huge wave of warmth. I actually got
scared for a moment because I thought it would heat up even more, and
burn my skin.
The warming sensation though ended pretty fast. It seemed as quickly
as it came, it also vanished.
Nonetheless though it was still hella
interesting, and completely unexpected! I honestly did not think Olay
Warming Hydrating Cleanser would actually warm up to such a degree, and
so quickly.
The cleanser itself is green in color, and you can feel grainy
scrubbing beads inside of the gel while you clean you face. The grains
though are relatively gentle, but I wouldn't fully recommend Olay
Warming Hydrating Cleanser to those with sensitive skin.
Scent:
The scent is nothing spectacular though. It has a clean and fresh
scent, but it is also very subtle and does not last long at all.
Overall Results:
The results were also nothing really to write home about. Although it
warmed my skin up pretty fast, and it was a really interesting a new
feeling that I have never felt before, Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser
didn't really leave my skin feeling very fresh and clean after all was
said and done.
All in all using Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser is definitely
different, and definitely an experience you may want to try, just to try
it, however it does not really improve skin, leave it soft, or even
feeling clean. It's sort of like a novelty wash, as it warms the skin.
This is probably something many have never experienced when it comes to
cleansers.
Where To Buy:
You can find Olay Warming Hydrating Cleanser at nearly any superstore,
or online. Odds are you won't come across it for $3.50 though, seeing
how normally it would cost $10.00 or more
