About 2 weeks ago I discovered L'Oreal Sublime Self Tanning Towelettes. I
loved the results I got from them so much that I went back for a second
box as soon as I ran out. I ran out pretty fast too, because each box
only came packed with 6 towelettes. However when I spotted the
towelettes, I also noticed an aluminum, golden colored aerosol can
called L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist.
I figured seeing that the towelettes worked so well, so would the mist.
Directions:
Before applying it is recommended to exfoliate your skin using Sublime
Bronze Sunless Scrub. I find that using your own scrub or exfoliation
soaps will work just as well.
Anyhow, after exfoliating you are to spray the mist about arms length
away on to your skin, while avoiding areas like your elbows and knees.
It also states not to rub the mist into skin, and to let it dry
naturally.
You can apply L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning
Mist daily until you have reached the desired level of tan. After you
have reached desired level, you can than apply once or twice a week to
keep the tan in check.
The Promise:
Besides brief directions on how to use L'Oreal Sublime Bronze
ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist, the can also packed the official
promise. Basically it stated that L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect
Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist would leave you with a sun kissed natural
looking tan. The best promise they packed on the can though was that
L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist would show
results in around an hour!
My Use:
Seeing how I was already mildly tan from a previous vacation, and the
towelettes, I really only needed L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect
Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist for touch ups on hard to reach spots like the
back of my legs, back, and 'other back door' areas. I also found it
would be neater to use on my arms and stomach.
Scent:
Unlike many tan sprays and lotions, L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect
Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist actually is pretty scentless. As soon as it
absorbs into skin any mild scent it gave off was gone. This is the main
reason I love L'Oreal Sublime Bronze tanning products. They go on easy,
and leave no scent, or oil behind.
Results:
I didn't see any drastic changes in an hour, but after around 2 days
of use I finally saw results, and to be honest I was not all to thrilled
with the results. My arms were in fact streaked, and my stomach was as
well.
The next time I used L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush
Self-Tanning Mist I rubbed it in even though the directions said not to.
I figured the only reason I got the streaks was because the mist had
sprayed thicker in some areas, and therefore I got darker results, which
ended up looking streaked.
After rubbing L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning
Mist into my skin to even it out, the results were 100 times better,
than not rubbing the mist in.
Overall:
Although it streaked when using it as directed, once I began using it
and rubbing it in it worked as I needed it to work. The mist did not
cause break outs, it did not leave behind a foul smell, nor does it have
a greasy or oily texture.
Although I still prefer the towelettes (which work much better),
having L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning Mist for
quick touch ups to my stomach and back just makes things easier and
faster.
Pricing and Availability:
I picked up L'Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush Self-Tanning
Mist at my local Target for around $10.00. You can pick it up there, or
any other super store that sells L'Oreal products. The catch though is
that you will not find it in the makeup section. You must look for it in
the isle that sells tanning lotion, and sun block.
