Review: Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo

I have seen Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo in the haircare isle for quite some time now, but I always passed it up due to it's bland no frills looking bottle.

Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo comes in a semi rounded plastic bottle, is all white, and had plain black writing on the bottle, slapped with a gold cap as the top. In all honesty it just looked like something I could find in a dollar store, so I never payed attention to it.

After getting home from a recent vacation though, I began to miss that sweet coconut scent that seemed to be everywhere on the island. This was why I finally stopped and gave Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo a sniff. I figured if it smelled natural, I'd buy it. If it smelled like that cheap artificial coconut like many coconut scented shampoo's give off, I'd leave it alone.

The Scent:

I squeezed the bottle, and the gorgeous coconut milk scent hit my nostrils and brought me right back to the gorgeous Bahama island vacation. Sitting in a hammock, sipping on fresh cut coconuts, and enjoying the lovely white sands. Seriously, Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo smells like a tropical dream vacation.

Had I known this shampoo offered such a delicious, real, and natural coconut scent, I would have bought it ages ago.

I didn't hesitate, I grabbed a bottle of the shampoo, and made a point to grab the sister conditioner as well.

The Promise:

According to the bottle, using Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo will add strength and elasticity to hair, thanks to the ultra whipped egg white proteins. Not only that Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo added in natural coconut oil for hydration and balance.

It all sounded pretty satisfying in text. The scent though was really what sold me.

My Use:

Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo squeezes out of the bottle with ease. The shampoo itself has a very thick texture to it, and is a pearly white color. More transparent and pearly in color though, than it is white.

Before applying, I of course wet my hair. Once wet, I rubbed about a half handful of the shampoo into my hair and immediately the lather began to work up a ton of bubbles. The shampoo was thick, got to each strand and I knew it would leave my hair smelling delicious, and of course, very clean.
I rinsed out, and followed up with the sister conditioner.

Results:

My hair was left very clean and manageable. I found the conditioner to be a little to thick, but the shampoo when used with another type of conditioner worked like a charm, and using a different conditioner did not ruin the natural coconut scent that the shampoo gives off.

The scent stood with me for about a half day, till finally it was no longer recognizable.

Overall the Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo is wonderful. It leaves hair clean, moisturizes dry ends, and has a natural tropical scent to die for.

Where To Buy:

You can find Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo at superstores, or online. The price remains about the same no matter where you buy it though. I picked up both bottles at Walmart for six dollars and change.

Recommendation:

Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo is a definite must try for those who love the real coconut scent, and not that artificial junk.
