Lush: Honey Lumps Bath Bomb Review

I ordered Honey Lumps Bath Bomb from Lush, at the same time I ordered Honey Bee. I guess that particular day I was in a honeylicious mood, and gobbled up everything Lush had to offer with the word Honey in it.

I enjoyed Honey Bee, and assumed that I would like Honey Lumps as well.

This bath bomb comes with actual hunks (of what I thought was honey) in it. As the bomb melts, the lumps melt, and will soften and soothe skin.

My personal opinion though was that it would only offer pimples to my butt and back, but I wanted to try it, so I went ahead and ordered it.

Honey Lumps is standard to Lush's other bath bombs. It weighs in at 6.3 ounces, is white in color, and when I opened the package it came in, I could clearly see the yellow colored lumps of something sticking out of the bath bomb.

The flecks though were not sticky to the touch. I imagined though that as soon as I plopped it into some water, the lumps would begin to melt. Duh! I thought that the lumps were lumps of honey. But the name of this bomb is deceiving.

I ran a bath, and flopped the bath bomb into the water.

The scent was extremely weak, but from what I could smell, Honey Lumps smelled more like caramel than honey. The scent though was very vague, and as soon as the bath bomb was completely gone, the scent vanished with it.

The lumps did crumble out of the bath bomb as it melted though, and although they were fun to squish between my fingers, they were actually pretty gross. What sucked though was that the lumps didn't really melt all that well. The lumps sort of just sank to the bottom of the tub, and felt more like pieces of gritty dough.

Well that is because the lumps inside of Honey Lumps, are not honey lumps at all. They are lumps of Myrrh?!?! Yep...it left me confused as to why Lush even bothered calling this one Honey Lumps, when it is should have appropriately been called Myrrh Lumps.

At any rate, Honey Lumps Bath Bomb did not impress me. My skin was not left soft, it did not silken the water, nor did it have any long lasting effects for my skin, and the weak scent was the absolute deal killer when it came to this bomb.

I would recommend Lush fans save their $5.95, and purchase a different bath bomb. This one is far too bland for the price it asks.
