Lush: The Wuss Bubble Bar It's a Wuss All Right...

I usually am among the first to place an order on Lush.com whenever I see that they have added new products. I always try to order quickly because mostly new products tend to sell out really fast, and when it comes to Lush, you just never know if the product will be offered ever again.

The Wuss Bubble Bar had been on my want list, simply because it offered something that none of their other bubble bars offered in description.

The Wuss, was created to be a manly mans bubble bar, with masculine scents. It was created to honor Mark Wolverton, the CEO of Lush in North America. It was also one of Lushes very first bubble bars.

Who would have thought that Lushes (primarily a site for women) very first bubble bar was made to smell like a man? I had no idea! I also had no idea that The Wuss had been made in 1999, and had been hidden for years...only to finally make a come back so many years later.

Appearance:

The Wuss Bubble Bar on the official Lush website displays a small brown and white chunk. It really resembles the Ma Bar Bubble Bar due to it being half brown, and half white.

The Wuss Bubble Bar in person also looks just like the bubble bar Lush added to their site.

Scent:

The first thing I did when I received my package was open up The Wuss Bubble Bar and give it a sniff. According to Lush, The Wuss is supposed to have odd manly scents of tobacco, martinis with olive, and coffee. Obviously a manly mans combination of scents.

In my presence though, The Wuss didn't give off any of these scents. In fact it smelled more like bland watered down cool waters perfume. There was nothing special about it really. I hoped though that when I put it to use, it would release other fragrances besides this watered down perfume I was getting.

My Use:

Sigh.

The Wuss is just that. A wuss.

The scent was the same in the bath. It gave off a very mild scent of cool waters perfume. The bubbles though did activate and sprout up on contact, but unfortunately they were not long lived.

The reason I purchase bubble bars is manly for lots of long lasting scented bubbles. The Wuss delivered a bland weak scent, and all of the bubbles were seriously gone in less than 5 minutes, which bites the big one.

Now usually when I get Lush bubble bars, they have long lasting bubbles, deliver strong scent, and not only that they soften my water to a fine silky texture. The Wuss did neither. My bath water was the same, only the water was slightly dyed a pale brown color. The vague mild cool water scent also vanished as soon as the bubbles were gone.

So much for my bubble bath huh?

Overall:

The Wuss Bubble Bar is not worth the $5.95 Lush asks for it. Skip on this one and go for something else.
