New from L'Oreal; EverPure Sultrate-Free Moisture Conditioner

Whenever I encounter something new in the haircare isle I always check it out. This past weekend when I came across some newbie products from L'Oreal I was thrilled, and couldn't wait to get home to give it a try.

The new haircare line by L'Oreal is labeled EverPure. I personally picked up the Moisture conditioner to see what this new line had to offer.

L'Oreal's EverPure Moisture Conditioner
is exclusively made for color treated hair, and seeing that I color my hair every other month, I was pretty excited to see what it could actually do for my color treated hair.

The conditioner itself is designed to keep hairs color from fading. It also contains ingredients to protect hair from UV rays, and mostly EverPure Moisture is designed to infuse the hair with moisture. Seeing that my hair gets slightly dry after dyeing, moisture is exactly what the hair screams for.

Appearance:

Finding the new EverPure Conditioner was not hard at all. It comes in a very eye catching squeeze tube, with a standard click up cap. It is easy to spot though due to it's shiny sleek faded purple/gray bottle. It sticks out amongst all others like a mirror. Most of L'Oreals haircare products come in a similar eye catching bottle. They seem to really know what pops, and what doesn't because I spotted this first and foremost above all others.

Scent:

The conditioner has a very different scent; unlike anything I've ever really smelled come from a conditioner. It has a fresh scent, but it clearly has a spiced minty after tone to it, that is both uplifting and refreshing.

My Use:

After shampooing and rinsing I went straight for the EverPure. The conditioner itself is very thick in texture, but not too thick as to where it leaves behind a greasy film on hands. It saturates easily into the hair, and the scent fills the shower. After leaving it in for a good solid 3 minutes I rinsed.

My hair felt extremely clean, very silky, and was totally easy to get through. No snarls, knots or tangles of the sort.

Dry Time:

Now I have very thick wavy hair, and conditioners can either make or break me. Bad conditioners leave my hair frizzy and thicker than normal, and good ones leave my hair shiny, moisturized and frizz free.

L'Oreal EverPure was like a mixture of good and bad.

The Good:

-It left my hair tangle free

-It left hair shiny

-My hair did not feel dry

The Bad:

-The minty scent became overwhelming. I thought the scent would diminish over time, but it never did. I ended up becoming repulsed by the scent after smelling it for so long. After too much exposure to the minty scent, it reminded me of toothpaste and I hated it

-It did nothing when it came to frizz

-It left my hair puffy

Overall:

I don't hate it, but I certainly do not love it either. If asked if I would buy this again though, I'd have to say no. I just did not like the strong lingering minty scent left behind, nor did I like the added volume to my already over volumized locks.
