So once again I managed to grow bored of my hair color, and
decided to dye it today. It's a common thing for me, I grow bored of the
same look day after day, and I dye my hair on a regular basis.
Sometimes the results are excellent, and sometimes I want to place a bag
over my head.
Well it is safe to say that after using NEW! L'Oreal Feria, 32, Light
Auburn Black Hair Color I'm not running to the storage pantry looking
for a paper bag to place over my head, because I truly, absolutely,
dearly do, love the color that the dye kit left behind.
My hair color before was a sad mix of black, brown and blond. I imagined that after putting in this dye I would have odd strands of multi colored hair, luckily though I got gorgeous hair as a result, with tints of dark deep auburn and light back. Mixed together the result is really nice. Its dark, yet has a sunk kissed hint of mahogany that I think came out looking pretty sweet, just in time for fall... this color is it.
In The Box:
Within the box of L'Oreal Feria, 32, Light Auburn Black Hair Color you get your hair dye application bottle, shimmer oil, shimmer hair color (all of these get mixed into the larger application bottle), a pair of rubber gloves, and a decent sized amount of after dye conditioner.
Application:
Applying the dye is simple. You mix the 3 liquid products together, set the conditioner aside for use in the shower, and then you simply apply the hair dye while wearing the included rubber gloves. The dye itself turns into a dark reddish gel that is easy to apply because it will not run or leak. I liked this because it was not messy, and I didn't end up dyeing everything in the bathroom; something I'm known to do every time I dye my hair. Hehe.
The recommended wait time is 25 minutes. I however pushed it by 5 minutes to make sure every strand got color. Rinsing the color out was equally as simple. I simply stood under the showers stream of water and allowed it to clear my hair of all color. As soon as the water ran clear again, I then applied the conditioner that came with the kit.
The conditioner was my favorite, besides the actual color results. It leaves hair feeling moisturized, easy to manage, and silky. I seriously wish they sold this stuff in bigger bottles!
All in all it took me around an hour to get beautiful colored hair.
I loved the color, loved how the dye did not ruin my hair, but actually made it feel healthier, and I loved the fact that the color got every last strand of my thick hair without leaving behind checker patterns, or un-dyed strands of hair.
Overall:
L'Oreal Feria, 32, Light Auburn Black Hair Color is a beautiful color that I would recommend for the fall or winter. Your hair will shimmer, your hair will feel healthier, and your hair will look beautiful. I also love the fact that the color is dark, yet not so dark as to where I look Gothic.
Best thing about it though, you can do it at home in an hour or less with salon quality results.
Recommended:
Highly! Color will vary depending on what your hair color is now. Light colored hair will get more dramatic results.
