Review of Elemis Lip Rescue - New Formula

Whenever my uncle comes out from the city for a visit he usually brings my mother and I bags filled with all sorts of goodies. He mainly gets these products from clients of his whom he has established close tight nit relationships with. Some products he brings are completely untouched, unopened, and in some cases appear to have just come off the rack. Other things such as perfumes, are sometimes half used.

Either way though, we are always happy, and always surprised at all of the different brand items within the bags. Things we sometimes had never even heard of.

One particular item found was Elemis Lip Rescue. A 7ml plain white looking tube.

I personally was not impressed. I had never heard of Elemis, nor was the packaging even appealing. It looked like your everyday run of the mill squeeze tube of chapstick.

I was never really into my lips because for one lipsticks never seem to last for me, and two, I have really small lips. Occasionally though due to the fact that I never bother much with my lips, they feel dry, and cracked. I figured I may as well give this Elemis Lip Rescue a try, besides it was sitting right there in front of me.

The Promise:

Using Elemis Lip Rescue will repair and protect your lips. It will keep them soft, protected, and in perfect condition.

I twisted off the cap and squeezed up some of the balm. It had a yucky clear cloudy white color to it, that reminded me of Vick's vapor rub. After squeezing out an amount I needed, I rubbed the balm to my lips.

It felt like thick heavy grease at first, as soon as I rubbed the balm into my lips completely though I noticed how smooth and moisturized they felt nearly immediately.

Elemis Lip Rescue had a very subtle tinge of mint in it, that I actually enjoyed. I was also able to feel a very slight cool tingle after applying. It was actually pretty comforting, yet at the same time reminded me of that feeling Soft Lips balms will give you.

I've been carrying around the tube for around a week now, and applying it once a day in the morning. I like how it tingles my lips and keeps them soft and moisturized. Best of all though I enjoy how the balm feels natural. When first applying the balm feels a bit heavy, when you rub it in though it feels as natural as your lips...only it makes them softer.

Overall:

Elemis Lip Rescue is an excellent lip balm for those who suffer from dry, cracked lips. I imagine this product would be awesome for cold winter months when lips are more prone to drying and cracking.

Where To Find?

I was able to track down this exact product online for $23.00. I had no idea that it would be so pricey, and I am on the fence on whether or not you should spend that much money on it seeing how using Soft Lips balm gives the near exact results.

Although it is a wonderful product, the price holds me back from recommending it fully.
