Review: Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream

Recently, I was given a large box of free hair care and beauty products, and as usual I worked myself up into a frenzy of excitement wanting to try everything at once. I know though that it's just not possible, so I try and take things slowly by trying each product one at a time to come to a conclusion if the product is worth recommending, or not.

My most recent hair care product was Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream, and as much as I hate putting things into my hair, I had to give this one a try because Bumble and Bumble is an expensive hair care brand, and I wanted to see if its high price was justifiable.

Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream comes in a long 5 ounce stand up squeeze tube, with a light grayish baby blue design to the tubing. On the tube, of course, the name of the product is written in black text. The tube also states what Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream is best used for.

They describe it as a dream cream for people who love to look polished, elegant and smooth, but hate having to put a lot of work into it.

Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream is also said to be best for those with thick, coarse, dry hair. That is pretty much my hair to the tee, so I went ahead and used it.

Directions:

On the back of the tube, you will find the directions, which states to work a dab into damp hair, and style.

My Use:

Now normally I hate putting anything in my hair after showering, because sometimes as my hair dries it will end up feeling weighed down, greasy, and looking and feeling nasty.

I however did as directed and hoped for the best.

The cream itself is not very greasy, nor does it have a thick or sticky texture to it, so I assumed it would be alright. I applied only a small amount though, just in case it was horrendous.

Results:

As my hair air dried I noticed it felt unclean, heavy, and felt a little greasy. I knew that this was all thanks Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream. I was pretty pissed off because now I had to jump back into the shower and rinse my hair all over again. I was also pretty mad because I had only used a very, very small glob of Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream, and I couldn't imagine how awful it would have been if I had used more.

Overall:

Bumble and Bumble Grooming Cream is nasty. It leaves hair feeling weighed down, greasy, and takes away your natural shiny sheen by replacing it with a dulled out look. It also leaves hair feeling like it has not been washed.

I recommend you avoid it. Normally this stuff costs a whopping $22.00 or more. You'd have to be stupid to pay that price to have this gunk ruin your hair.
