Review Dolce & Gabbana The One For Women

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue is by far my all time favorite scent. It's an addicting mix of cedar wood and citrus, and to me, the scent is simply divine. However, aside from that particular scent, I pretty much have always hated close to everything Dolce & Gabbana has ever released when it comes to fragrances.

When my cousin gave me a sample vile of Dolce & Gabbana The One, perfume for women, I figured it would end up being another scent by the designer company that I'd hate. But hey, maybe after releasing such a popular scent like Light Blue, they got their crap in order. Maybe I'd like it, and hey, it was free, so far be it for me to turn down a free sample.

Unfortunately as I predicted, The One was pretty nasty, and Light Blue seems to be the only fragrance in the Dolce & Gabbana line of womens fragrances that I like.

Appearance:

The perfume itself is clear, but it has a somewhat yellow tint to it, that makes it look a little antique and old fashioned. The scent sadly matches the antique looking perfume.

Normally the fragrance comes in a square shaped glass bottle, with a square golden cap that sits on top. Nothing worth saving when it comes to perfume bottle collecting.

Scent:

The scent at first was a little nice, refreshing, feminine, and likable. After the perfume dried on my skin though I noticed a very high potent fragrance of powder, rose, and something cheap and gross. I cannot quite place what it is, but its a scent that if you get too much of it, your stomach actually starts to grow nauseated.

Perhaps its the fact that The One reminds me of scented tissue paper, or like cheap dollar store body sprays.

After the initial dollar store funk wears off, The One left me smelling primarily old lady stink. Like powder, roses, and more powder, followed by a hint of what smells like vanilla to me. The mix in general is an all around yuck-fest.

The One, by Dolce & Gabbana contains notes of mandarin, bergamot, litchi, peach, jasmine, plum, vetiver, amber, and last but not least musk.

The mix is not a good one though, and I smell nothing of what is said to be in it.

Pricing:

A bottle of this funk will set you back a good $50.00. May I suggest you skip on it?

If you really want to give it a try though, just because it's one by Dolce & Gabbana, definitely ask for a tester sample before just buying it.
