I fell in love with L'Oreal Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser
just a few weeks ago, and told myself that if I loved the new Skin
Genesis products by L'Oreal, I would try more.
I really wanted to get the expensive vile of moisturizer that looks as
if it comes in a test tube, but it was just a wee bit too pricey for
what I was looking to pay at the time. I came across however an aluminum
package of L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing
Towelettes.
Initially it looked like it was a re-fill package for some sort of
plastic container for the towelettes to sit in. At the top of the pink
aluminum package is a small plastic trap door, where you reach in to
remove a towel. I searched, but didn't ever come across any plastic
containers to put this aluminum package into, which was semi
disappointing, because I don't like leaving packages like this out due
to the fact that they could dry out easier if I accidentally forget to
shut the plastic door.
At any rate though I went ahead and bought them, and simply hoped the
little plastic door would remain shut, and not pop open drying out my
towelettes.
Each package contains 25 pre-moistened towelettes, all you have to do
is rub the towelette along your face for as long as you'd like, and let
dry. There is no need to wash off the formula.
The L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelettes Promise:
According to the package using L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing
Wet Cleansing Towelettes will benefit your skin in more than just one
way. First and foremost using the towelettes will provide daily cellular
renewal which will over time reveal brighter, smoother, and fresher
skin. The towelettes will also restore natural moisture to the skin, it
won't clog pores, and comes packed with a natural cleansing agent to
clean the skin.
My Use:
L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelettes open up
to reveal a peel away sticker that can be closed and re-opened without
loosing it's stickiness. Inside you will find neatly staked towelettes,
and the same gorgeous lollipop candy scent that the Skin Genesis Pore
Minimizing Gel Cleanser had.
The opening that you have to reach into to remove a towelette is a bit
small, and I usually end up pulling out more than one towelette, which
is sort of annoying because I have to stuff it clumsily back into the
small opening.
Anyhow, the towelettes are decent in size, but I would have liked them
to be a little bit larger. All in all one towelette is around the same
size as a standard dinner napkin (perhaps smaller).
Now according to the package L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet
Cleansing Towelettes have a gentle exfoliating texture to them. This was
far from the truth, at least for the towelettes I got anyway. Mine had
the same texture (plain) as a baby wipe. They were not exfoliating at
all, and no matter how hard I pressed it against my skin there was still
nothing exfoliating about it.
Anyhow, I rubbed the towelette around my face and parts of my neck till it felt like there was no formula left on it.
The formula absorbed into my skin pretty quickly, and it didn't leave
behind any residue or stickiness. My face though did not feel very
clean, and to be honest after using a L'Oreal Skin Genesis
Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelette, I wanted to rinse my face off
to at least make it feel fresh and clean. After using L'Oreal Skin
Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelette my face felt pretty much
the same as it had before even using it.
Long Term Use:
I have been using the towelettes once or twice a day for about 2 weeks
now, and although they do not leave my face feeling sparkly clean they
have managed to keep my skin acne free, and looking much smoother.
For best results, I first use the cleansing gel, and then I use a
towelette. I find that this leaves my face feeling fresher, and I
recommend you do the same.
Overall:
L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelettes keep
acne away, my face looks a lot smoother, and they have a very light
candy scent to them that sticks around for a bit after use.
I would still though recommend you wash your face with the cleansing
gel first, or one of your favorite facial cleansers, because the L'Oreal
Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet Cleansing Towelettes when used alone
don't feel like they cleanse very well.
You can pick up a package of L'Oreal Skin Genesis Micro-Smoothing Wet
Cleansing Towelettes at any local super store, or drug store. I paid
close to $8.00 for the package and I imagine the price will remain in
that range for awhile.
