Review: Lush: Silver Cloud

Silver Cloud... how I love you, and wish Lush would bring you back! Now!

Sorry, I seemed to have gotten ahead of myself. Silver Cloud is one of Lushes limited edition seasonal bath bombs. I was one of the lucky ones who placed my order in time to try out this glorious sweet number before it was gone.

Appearance:

On the Lush.com website when Silver Cloud was available I fell in love with it's beautiful colors of blue and green. Oddly it looked more like a dipped easter egg than it did a winter seasonal bath bomb.
I had no idea that when Silver Cloud melted away in my bath tub that it held a silvery surprise.

When my Silver Cloud Bath Bomb arrived it came slightly resembling the bath bomb on the Lush website, only mine was a little more ragged and jagged, and not as neatly circular as the one shown on the site.

It was no matter though, because I could smell Silver Cloud through its clear plastic wrapper and it smelled simply heavenly.

Silver Cloud was like a mixture of geraniums, lily, and just a wee douse of lime. All of these scents though are not described on the website. Lush in fact stated that Silver Cloud contained citrus and gardenia. I guess when the two scents are mixed it created what I smelled above. Lillie's, lime, and geranium.

My Use:

After running a tub, I got in and plopped in Silver Cloud. Immediately it began to release the gorgeous floral scent of gardenia. Odd because I had not smelled the scent initially. As soon as Silver Cloud hit the water though the overwhelming bouquet of gardenia hit my nostrils, and I was in love.

As Silver Cloud melted away it turned my water into a nice emerald colored green that added to the whole feeling of being in a meadow of flowers.

But then something more magical happened, because as soon as Silver Cloud was half melted it began to release beautiful sparkling flecks of micro glitter, in the silver color of course.

I frigging loved it!

I soaked in Silver Cloud till my water grew cold.

Unfortunately though Silver Cloud did not leave any scent behind on my skin, which I hoped it would. It did however leave my skin soft, silky, and feeling fresh and clean.

All in all Silver Cloud was a gem. I wish that the scent would have stuck around longer than it did, but it is definitely a bath bomb I would order again and again.

Unfortunately I cannot buy it from Lush anymore, but it can be found on Ebay. I highly recommend you pick one up for yourself too... that is...before I buy them all up.
