Review of After Dark Love Lotion- Glows in the Dark

I am completely obsessed with lotions, body creams, perfumes, any any other delicious body goop I can find, so of course for me, it is not odd to seek out things that are out of the norm, especially when it comes to lotions for my body.

After Dark Love Lotion, Glows In The Dark (yes, that is the exact full name, written on the plastic squeeze bottle), was actually given to me. It usually comes in a set which would include the bubble bath, however it can be found separately if a glow in the dark bubble bath is not your cup of tea.

I have however gotten the chance to use the bubble bath portion of After Dark, but figured today Id focus primarily on the lotion.

Appearance:

The lotion actually looks like slime. It has that same nasty booger color that those old-school quarter machine slimes have, you remember right? You used to beg your mom for a quarter for some slime...I know I did.

However when you get a little older, the thought of that slime is pretty repulsive. Well, After Dark Love Lotion, will leave you with that same feeling. It has a sticky texture, looks like slime, and yeah it kind of smells like that slime too.

I though was not about to completely throw out the bottle. I wanted to use it, I figured I'd pop on my black light and make things a bit interesting in the bedroom with my boyfriend. Without a black light, After Dark Love Lotion is pretty useless. It will barely glow, and it's a waste. If you have no black light, don't bother with this stuff.

Under black light After Dark Love Lotion is pretty dang neat, it glows like crazy, but rubbing what feels like ooey gooey slime all over your partners back and your own back/body is not as sexy as one would imagine. In fact it feels pretty repulsive. The lotion does not absorb into your skin, which is probably a good thing.

The clean up is nothing but a pain in the rear, seeing how your skin will feel slimy and sticky you're going to want to hop into the shower after rubbing this stuff all over yourself.

Although it is a fun bedroom artsy project, at the same time it's nothing more than a messy sticky clean up.

Overall:

The concept was awesome though, I will admit that, however it was executed all wrong. If you don't mind showering after using than by all means it's a fun product. If you were looking for a lotion that actually IS a body lotion, this is not the product you'll want to spend your money on.

Where To Buy:

I have come across After Dark Love Lotion in a few shops like Utopia, however coming across it's rather rare. You can find it easily online though in sets or singles on Ebay.

A set which includes both the lotion and the bubble bath formula can be found by clicking here.
