When I first came across a box containing a picture of Tweety Bird on it
in the perfume isle at my local Marshall's I was curious as to why it
was there, as it appeared to be some sort of min toy box that belonged
in the children's toy section. Upon closer inspection though, I realized
in my hands I held a bottle of perfume.
I sat there for a moment wondering who this was targeted at, as the
Tweety character is something more related to young children. Then I
figured wow, this one would probably appeal to a lot of different age
groups, from 5 to 105, as Tweety Bird has always had a large fan base
ranging from young to old. Some just cannot seem to get enough of those
cute puppy dog eyes.
I am not a huge Tweety fan, but yes, I do find him-or her? to be just
adorable. What really made me purchase it though was the curiosity
behind the scent; was it geared at kids? Or would Aquolina Tweety be one of those fragrances more geared at older women, or teens? My guess was as good as any, so $14.00 later this one became mine.
At home when I opened the boxes lid, which slides off of the top more
like a dusting powder box, to my amazement sat a gorgeous little set.
This was no average perfume bottle. The bottle itself was a standard
rectangular shape, with a nice lacy logo saying Tweety in script. On top
of the bottle was a plastic screw off lid, but next to that sat a
lovely atomizer pump; you know those fancy ball squeeze perfume bottles
you see in old movies portraying the 18th century? God yes, those! They just make us ladies feel so classy.
So this Tweety fragrance definitely had me curious now. A child
cartoon character, an older classy atomizer pump to add to the perfume
bottles top, and a fun laced logo geared more at teens!
I scrambled to unscrew the plain Jane top, and screwed on the atomizer
pump in a hurry, as this perfume had me more and more stumped on what
it would smell like.
The Scent:
This one really drew me in, the moment the fragrance hit my nostrils I
was in love. It had a warm vanilla tint, with a hint of lemon and
cream. To me, it smelled just like lemon meringue pie, with a wonderful
sugary sprig to it.
Last:
Even better, this warm fragrance also lasted for quite some time. 2
hours later I was still taking in hints of the scent with every small
movement I made.
Overall:
This particular scent may look like it is for a child, but it is
geared at just about everyone. Children will love it, teens will enjoy
it, and perfume connoisseurs will find this scent to be an absolute
delight. Aquolina Tweety is one oddball fragrance that I am glad I came
across, and glad I took a chance on.
