My huge holiday order had finally come to an end as I managed to use p
every single product in my order in less than a week, and as always I
saved the one item that looked like the best, for last. In this case
that one lucky last was Lush Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb.
The reason I saved this one for last was because I hoped it would
deliver the best bath in my order. I loved the egg shape, I loved the
white shell color with the small flecks of pink, green, yellow and blue
that I could see residing just under the outer shell of the bath bomb,
and I loved the zingy lemon scent it gave off.
My Use:
Coming to terms with the fact that Lush's Dragon Egg was my very last
bath bomb hit me like a ton of bricks the moment I flopped this large
bomb into the water.
I hoped in with it and awaited the magic.
The initial fizzing of the ballistic was not that wonderful, but as it
began to melt further and further I noticed the odd colors inside of
the egg bomb begin to emerge. It contained the same weird gel like
texture that Winter Bath Bomb had. The gel melts away and adds a bit of
color to the bath water, but not too much.
One the outer shell with gel flecks fizz away an orange fizzer emerges
from the center. The gold however is right dab after the orange fizzy
melts away releasing a pure gold center. The gold center looked purple
at first, but as I got my hands into it and into good lighting I was
stunned to see the beautiful golden color on my skin. This golden color
also contained tons of micro flecks of gold glitter which shimmers and
shines.
The glitter does not stick to your skin after you get out of the bath, so that is a major plus.
As far as the scent goes, Dragons Egg did not impress me very much. It had the same lemon fragrance going on that Bohemian Soap by Lush
has. It is nice, but if you are a Lush veteran, you will note
immediately that it has been done before, in soap and in other bath
bombs.
Besides the familiar fragrance the bath bomb also does not leave scent
behind on the skin afterward. What it does though is create a nice
colorful and magical like bath for you to indulge in, while releasing
soft moisturizing properties to the water which add to the relaxation
and charm of it all.
Overall:
I enjoyed Dragons Egg, but I likely would not order it again. It was a
nice one time try, and one I would recommend. However it was just not
all there for me to order it time and time again. I like bath bombs that
add scent lightly to the skin that lasts. Dragons Egg does not do that.
It is still however an enjoyable bath bomb, one many will like, and one
young girls would love.
