I never will go out of my way to buy a hand soap that costs too much
money, unless the scent is something I already know, and have fallen in
love with. I usually just buy whatever is cheap and on sale. More
recently though I was given a full sized freebie bottle of Bath and Body Works, Creamy Pumpkin Cleansing Hand Soap.
I am no stranger to Bath and Body Works hand soaps, and for the most
part I usually really love them. Over the past year or so though, I have
stayed away because I find them to be a little more pricey than what I
am willing to pay. A freebie though, well everyone loves a freebie.
Bath and Body Works, Creamy Pumpkin Cleansing Hand Soap, comes in the
same type of bottle that all BBW and soaps come in. A clear stand up
pump bottle, with a nifty picture on the bottle displaying the fragrance
you can expect. In this case a pumpkin. The pumpkin of course is done
up in a lighter more milky color to give off the impression of 'cream
pumpkin'.
You can clearly see the soaps color, which is a light nutmeg. The soap
contains a bunch of little blue colored micro beads, which act as
tougher cleansers for the hands.
Scent:
Naturally one expects this to smell like a creamed out pumpkin, and
most companies making a cream pumpkin scent available do it simply by
adding a hint of vanilla. Bath and Body Works, Creamy Pumpkin Cleansing
Hand Soap, does just that, the soap smells like pumpkin initially, with a
mild hint of burnt vanilla, which combined actually smelled really
nice, and original compared to other scents in the same type of
category.
What I loved about this hand soap was that the scent stays with you on
your hands for about an hour after using it, which is very long lived
compared to others. I was expecting this from Bath and Body Works
though, as every hand soap I have ever used does just that.
Results:
Cleansing the hands is also just as enjoyable, and you get a nice
clean and soft feeling once you are done. The little micro-beads play a
part in this I am sure.
Overall:
Bath and Body Works, Creamy Pumpkin Cleansing Hand Soap is a winner in
my opinion. It's a seasonal scent, so if you want it now, you would
have to seek it out through online vendors, and auction sites, which is
actually a good thing because you can mostly scoop it up for prices
lower than what you would pay at Bath and Body Works.
The scent is beautiful, warm, and leaves you with a nice toasty fall
feeling. The scent also lasts, and your hands are left feeling soft,
moisturized, and of course kissed with the delicious fragrance for up to
an hour. Not too bad for just a hand soap right?
