Review of Estee Lauder, Bronze Goddess, Perfume for Women

Initially when you hear Bronze Goddess, you probably think of a self tanning lotion. I know I did, and I thought the name (Bronze Goddess) that Estee Lauder had given to their fragrance was a little weird.
As much as I would like to see Estee Lauder turn this fragrance into a self tanner, I have to say, I am pretty happy about the fragrance itself.

The Bottle:

The bottle of Bronze Goddess initially looks beautiful. A stunning little rectangular bottle, with a nice texture splatter of golden flecks, that make the bottle shine a bit. However after popping off the top, and feeling the bottle in my hand, my first reaction was that it was cheaply, and poorly made. The spray nozzle is primarily the reason I felt this way, as it seems to be a cheap and flimsy nozzle.

As far as saving the bottle, I probably would, even though it feels cheap when in the hand, it looks nice from a distance.

The Scent:

Estee Lauder could have went 2 ways with this fragrance, and I imagined it would either smell like a beach scene, with tanning lotion and a sea breeze like note to it, or they could go warm with a honey amber type musk.

Spraying it out, and testing it for myself, it was clear that they took the beach route with Bronze Goddess, as it smells just like an over crowded beach, with a lot of tanning oils and lotions running through the air.

That is initially the first hit you get from Bronze Goddess, a warm milky coconut hue, which smells just like tanning oils. However, once that begins to sink in, you get hit with nice little hint of sandalwood and vanilla, which stick out on their own as 2 separate fragrances. Once the mix settles in, you are left with a beautiful beachy musk, which was done right.

In ways, it reminds me a of JLO's Miami Glow, only a little more subtle, and sugary.

Last:

I hoped that Bronze Goddess, like Miami Glow would last and last throughout the day. Well, it does last, but it's not up to my perfume standards. I got around an hour of scent, till I could no longer detect a single coco-nutty zing.

Last is mediocre.

Overall:

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess is a nice scent to tote around with you during spring and summer months, due to the short lived last, you will have to tote it with you. However it smells good enough, as to where one wouldn't mind packing this one with them for use throughout the day.
