Review of Dr. Hauschka Creme De Jour, Moisturizing Day Cream

Once a blue moon you come across far out, oddball beauty products that you have likely never seen, or heard of before. Here in America things are so mainstream, if it does not say MAC, or Channel we tend to think the product is garbage. However those oddball, rarely sken of products are somtimes some of the best kept secrets available. It's those products you hear that celebritys use, the products that are so fart unaffordable that we forget about them all together.
Dr. Hauschka Creme De Jour, Moisturizing Day Cream is just that secret. Jennifer Aniston is said to use Dr. Hauschka's products, and I can totally see why! She has stunning skin for a 40 something doesn't she?
Well this past weekened I was give the works. 3 products from Dr. Hauschka's collection. Up on the chopping block is the Dr. Hauschka Creme De Jour, Moisturizing Day Cream.

This jaw dropping moisturizer comes to around $70.00 for a 3.4 ounce bottle. Now before you rush out hoping to get skin like Jennifer Aniston, you are probably wondering how well the moisturzier works.
I decded to use this one alone, and regularly for the past month to see if these claims stood true.

Would Dr. Hauschka Creme De Jour, Moisturizing Day Cream really moisturize the skin by regulating the balance of moisture content of the skin? Was this moistrurizer better, or worse then cheaper moisturizers?

Before getting into those answers, I wanted to mention the pakcaging and the lotion itself. The lotion comes in a glass bottle, which immediatley causes you to think that this stuff is high end, expenisve, and possibly effective. Market it by adding the word Dr., and you have beauty queens lining up at the door begging for a bottle.

The lotion itself sort of surprised me though, it was supposed to be a cream, but after pumping it out, I was pretty surprised to see that this so called cream, was more runny than it was a cream. It flys out of the pump pretty quickly, and even after shaking the bottle up, the texture was still very, very runny.

I began applying to to my face and took note that it had a very light orange creamsicle scent to it. It was a refreshing scent, which I liked. The cream also absorbed very quickly.

My skin was seriously instantly moiturized, but I hated that the cream left behind a high beam glossy shine on my skin. Although it did not feel greasy, it looked greasy, and considering that I have oily skin, shine is my worst enemy.

After applying makeup, and finishing off with a shine free pressed powder, my skin was perfect. Due to the fact that the cream added moisture to my skin, my skin was not producing extra oil, which makes me shiny.

All in all, I feel as if the lotion left my skin moisturized, and was balancing the moisture content of my skin.

Overall:

I have been using Dr. Hauschka Creme De Jour, Moisturizing Day Cream daily, and have not really noitced significant change as far as my skins texture goes. I have however noticed that my skin does not produce as much oil, it appears as if the cream keeps the skin balanced, so there is no need to continue to blot oil off of my face.

The cream is expensive, but if you hate having consistent oily skin, then I would suggest applying this one, right before putting on your makeup.
