Review of Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia Perfume for Women

Marshall's has become my favorite spot to pick up high end designer fragrances. The store features the same delicious brands that expensive perfume stores will sell you; only at Marshall's you may get lucky and run into it for nearly 3 times less than what you would pay elsewhere.

My most recent find was Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia, perfume for women. Being a huge fan of gardenia fragrances I knew I could not leave without it. Unfortunately they did not have any tester bottles on the shelf for me to sample. I basically went into it without knowing what to expect. However for only $14.99 for the bottle, I figured it was a good deal.

The Bottle:

Gardenia, by Elizabeth Taylor came in a bland pearly white box, with a drab looking gardenia flower on it. Inside of this dull looking box though sat one of the cutest perfume bottles I've come across in quite some time.

The bottle itself is a transparent grass green, and is shaped to look like a thick flower stem. The bottles topper features a frosted white colored gardenia flower blossom. The bottle is just adorable, and totally worthy of adding to your collection (if you save perfume bottles) once the perfume is all used up.

The Scent:

One look at the cleverly made bottle of Gardenia, I has a hunch that this one was going to smell just like a flower. One spray and immediately I was hooked. Gardenia smelled like gardenia all right! Once that scent his my sense, the next scent that I noted was luscious sweet honeysuckle. My, my, my, I was in summer heaven.

Last:

So I established that Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia perfume smelled like delicious gardenia florals, but after spraying it I wondered if the scent would have any last to it. I have come across quite a fair share of perfume scents that gave off fabulous fragrances, but as far as having a long lasting scent, many fail.
Unfortunately Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia was amongst the ranks of scents that fail to last. I was really disappointed, because I loved the scent, and it would have been one I would have worn daily in spring and summer months. Sadly though the scent vanishes after just a few minutes, leaving behind not a trace of its floral glory.

Overall:

Man, I really wanted to recommend this one to you ladies, however the perfume has absolutely no last. The scent is lovely, but due to the fact that the scent does not even last over a 20 minute time stamp, I have to suggest skipping it.
