This past holiday season I was given a bunch of sample viles of
fragrances for women. I love getting these little viles because I find
there is enough fragrance in the mini bottle to last for quite some
time, and not only that, but I get to take new scents for test drives.
If I like them enough I go out and seek its larger sister. If not, I
pass the vile on to someone else to see if it is something they would
like.
One holiday freebie goes to Eau Des Jardins, by Clarins.
Due to the lime green press down pump dispense and the orange colored
writing on the small vile, I imagined this one was going to smell like
an uplifting rejuvenating morning, with notes of lime, and citrus.
I was right.
The Scent:
Eau Des Jardins smells like spiced mint the moment is releases from
the bottle, it initially reminded me of a Mojito, one of my favorite
cocktails. I was not to keen however on the high potency of the mint at
first, but thankfully as the fragrance settles in, it begins to give off
a delicious sweeter tone of lime and citrus. Golly it smells like a
delicious Mojito for sure once the entire fragrance begins to settle in
and make itself one overall fragrance.
It's minty, it is fresh, it has a citrus ring to it, and yes, it can
make my mouth water with its near replicated Mojito stink. A delicious
stink at that.
The Last:
Thankfully this scent lasts longer than a freshly blended Mojito
would. Eau Des Jardins gives me around 3 hours of wear till I can no
longer detect it, which is not too bad considering how most high end
fragrances last just a few moments before they are no longer detectable.
So the last here is decent, not the best in the world, but Eau Des Jardins pulls its weight well enough.
The Bottle:
Eau Des Jardins, by Clarins it not really a collectible worthy bottle.
It has a raindrop like shape to it, with pretty colors of red, orange,
green tints to the bottle to give it some flair, but overall it is not
one you would really want to keep around once the perfume was gone.
Overall:
Eau Des Jardins, by Clarins may not be a scent for everybody, but if
you are into that minty citrus scent; one that will remind you of a
Mojito, than by all means go out and try this scent. I think it is one
you will enjoy.
