Love and Glamour is one of Jennifer Lopez's latest
fragrance releases, not to be mistaken with her Glow collection or
fragrance Love at First Glow. I know, it is easy to mix the two up, but
once you see the newest bottle, making any mistakes would be impossible.
On my Christmas list this year I had both this fragrance and LA Glow,
which is part of the Glow collection. LA Glow sadly was impossible to
find in stores so I was given Love and Glamour, with a promise of some
LA Glow at a later date. I am fine with that though, because Love and
Glamour smells simply delicious, but there is something you should know.
This newbie fragrance is far from original. In fact it smells like a
scent I have sniffed time and time again.
Firstly, and oddly enough, Love and Glamour has some notes that smell a lot like Love at First Glow. It has a clean after rain type scent going on with amorous fruity notes like peach and melon. Love At First Glow had this similar rain dew like after flavor going on that you will recognize if you have both bottles to test side by side.
Love and Glamour smells nice enough, but unfortunately it will not wow perfume connoisseurs out there enough to become a mainstream must have fragrance like her original Glow.
Glow however has something going on, something that Love and Glamour missed the mark with, and that is the most important feature when it comes to perfume; last.
Love and Glamour starts off wonderfully, with a dazzling clean fruity fragrance, which mellows out into a more fuzzy clean peach and fresh nectarine. After that though, and I am talking moments after that, the scent just fizzles away to nothing.
The bottle itself is collection worthy, with a neat twist on her original Glow bottles, which were designed to be shaped like a woman's body. Love and Glamour follows suit with a more detailed woman's body, only this time it seems to be wearing a weird pointy type dress. The shape suggests so anyway. Granted it is not a beautiful bottle, it is one that perfume bottle collector's would want to keep around.
All in all though, this particular perfume by JLo misses the mark. It's last is not worth its price.
