Review of Ecotools Clean Skin Cleaner World Body Wash

I don't go into RiteAide all too often, but whenever I need something fast, we have one nearby which makes life easier. This past month I was in need of some cough drops so stopped in for a quick visit. Whenever I do stop in though, I cannot leave the store without at least browsing the specialty bath and body section of the store. Normally I pick up a Healing Garden body mist or a new wash, and with my most recent trip this was no exception. I ended up leaving with a handful of bathing goods, but one of them I ended up buying impressed me the most while in the store. The scent was simply divine.

It is called Ecotools Clean Skin Cleaner World Body Wash, and initially I was going to leave it behind, but after smelling the scent I knew I had to have it; plus it was priced really low, at just $5 and change.

The Scent:

Ecotools Clean Skin Cleaner World Body Wash has a really potent and sweet fresh zing to it that reminded me of grapefruit and kiwi. Besides the lovely scent, this bathing product is much more earth friendly than most others, as it is 98% natural, from nature. They claim the bottle is also earth friendly as it is recycled, but I guess they fail to realize that recycle plants also pollute our environment. At any rate, the stuff smells good, and for me, I like taking baths that give me aromatherapy more than anything else, and I had a feeling this one would leave behind a glorious addicting scent.

My Use:

In the shower I popped open the lid, and squeezed some of the wash out into my bath puff. It is very, very runny in consistency, and it comes out of the bottle clear, which makes it hard to see if you are already standing under running water.

The wash lathers up into a beautiful creamy lather, which I loved, as it left behind a nice velvety feeling on the skin, sadly though the scent is faded down into this nearly gross odd chemical rubber tire like scent, which smelled nothing like what the wash smells like when I clicked the cap up to sniff it. It;s as if it transforms once it hits the water, and it was not a very pleasant scent.

Now the lather is wonderful, but the scent is pretty oddball, and not one I knew I would want to use regularly. Luckily the scent does not last on your skin, but the unfortunate thing is that without that scent this wash has not much going for it besides a nice lather; however I can get the same nice lather, and a lovely scent attached to it, in other bathing products in the same price range.

Overall:

I wanted this one to smell like it did in the bottle, sadly it changes once water hits it. A nice lather, but I have used much better products. I'd have to say, pass this one up, and buy something else.
