Review of Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige

I am willing to change up my eyeshadow, willing to try out new lip colors, willing to change up my eyeliner, but there is one thing I am not willing to give up, and that is my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

I am however willing to try other foundations to see if I like them or not. 99% of the time when I try new foundations, I end up hating them and going right back to my beloved Double Wear. Nothing beats Double Wear, it lasts long, and finished flawless.

Recently though I was given a free tube of Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige. Basically its a liquid foundation that promises flawless skin. Most foundations promise flawless skin, and most deliver...however at the same time those promises are quickly washed away after a few hours when the foundation begins to look dry, patchy, and hideous on the skin.

With Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige, you are promised a flawless face with long lasting wear. Besides just that, they go the extra mile by stating that the foundation will also regenerate and hydrate the skin. So yep, we have some lovely benefits to the skin besides a flawless finish.

So I got around to using it the other day, and here is how I feel about it. If you have dry skin, you will truly love this one. However if you have shiny, oily skin naturally you will probably end up hating this one with a passion.

I usually put a moisturizer on my face every morning, in order t keep the production of oil from my face down to a minimum. After putting on Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige though, I realized I had more than enough moisture on my skin, in fact there was too much going on, and it left behind a really high beam shine on my entire face.

The foundation itself was also rather runny, and had the consistency of a liquid serum than it did a creamy foundation. Most foundations are runny, but this one had the consistency of water with a pinch of lotion and some dye added to it.

It comes pouring out of the bottle, so I had to be especially careful while using it.

Applying it is rather simple, and it spreads easily onto the skin, allowing you to blend it in with your natural color. The results were pretty flawless, and I really liked how it left behind an airbrushed like finish. However I did not like all the extra added shine.

I was able to minimize the shiny by adding Chanel's Purette Matt, but even that was not capable of really dimming down the high beam shine left behind by the foundation.

Personally Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige is just not for me. It's not for women with skin like mine either. I however would recommend this one to women who have dry skin, because Isadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige will definitely moisture the hell your skin.

The pricing is a bit high, but for those of you whom spend a lot of money on foundations, the $19.00 price tag is not that huge, and considering that a little bit of the foundation goes a long way, you will have this one for quite some time before needing to re-stock.

All in all, I don't care for it, but like I said, if you have dry skin and foundations dry it out worse, than you will likeIsadora Velvet Touch, Flawless Long Wear Makeup in Nougat Beige.
