Review: Scott Barnes Eye Ice, in Goddess

Although it is no longer made, this eyeshadow by Scott Barnes was recently given to me, brand spanking new, and never used.

I had never heard of Scott Barnes before, but after receiving the Eye Ice, in the Goddess color, I was intrigued to find out more about it. This one in particular is a fan favorite, and many are begging for it to make a comeback, with some new products as well.

The Color:

Scott Barnes, Eye Ice in the color Goddess is beautiful in the small palette it comes in. It's a lovely pale green, with a shimmery silver tone to it that I knew immediately would look flattering on my upper brow bone for highlighting.

The issue however was that I was not sure how well this eyeshadow would work. I have gotten so used to using pigment powders by Pearl EX, which not only save me a ton of money considering that they come in packs of many different colors, but they also became my favorite because they never fade, or crease.

Even the most expensive eye shadows I have bought have faded, or creased. When it came to Scott Barnes, I didn't really want to change up my usual, but considering the fact that many women are already fans of Scott Barnes cosmetics, I assumed they may be interested in how Goddess looks, and works.

My Use:

I did my eye up with my Pearl EX powder, and then added some Goddess to my upper brow for highlighting. It went on smooth, and really accentuated the area with the lovely shimmering effect. I liked it, but the green coloring was barely recognizable. I could have poured on a slew more of the eyeshadow, but knew it would probably get messy, or ash down to the rest of my face if I over coated the lid in the eyeshadow.

Last:

I was pretty surprised that Goddess was able to keep up with my Pearl EX powder. It managed to stay in place, and the shimmer lasted all day long. I liked it, it worked just as well as my usual, and seeing that I'm nearly out of my silver shimmer pigments, Goddess would make up for it.

Overall:

Scott Barnes Goddess is a winner in my opinion. If you are a fan, I'd suggest this one to you, especially for highlighting, as the high beam shimmery shine is very flattering on upper brow bones.

This eyeshadow sells for around $17.00 online. I have never seen it in stores, so if you want it, get it online before its gone.
