Now usually when I am presented with a bunch of free samples of
fragrances, there is one in the set, or two in the set of samples that I
find to be wretched. However this past month I have been given freebies
of the best fragrances that the world of scents has yet to offer.
I ended up purchasing a bunch of fragrances due to this collosal overload of musthave fragrances, and one of those goes to Jean Paul Gaultier 'Classique'.
In the past I had tried one fragrance in the collection of scents by
Jean Paul, and I hated it. Not only did I hate the scent, but I ound the
ugly upper torso shaped bottle to be just as funky to look at.
Yes Classique comes in an ugly upper torso shaped bottle, but the gold is what is on the inside ofthis bottle.
The bottle, for those wondering, is of course shaped like an upper
trso of a womans body. This bottle however has an icy pink tint to it,
making it look a little more feminine, but for me, the bottle is still
as ugly as a bottle can come.
The Scent:
Here is where the party happens. Jean Paul Gaultier 'Classique' smells
a lot like what many new scents have been smelling like. Its a musk, it
is spicy, and it is sweet, with a very slight undertone of florals in
the mix. Now combined it sounds like a spiced mess, a party mix of funk.
However the fragrance delivers each oddity in sections that seem to
disperse through the air bit by bit, making sure the mesh of scents do
not clash.
The first note I got was spicy, a near cinnamon and mint mix that I
loved, this is followed by a lighter more angellic and feminine musk,
which is then masked up by a glorious sugary powdered donut, and lasty a
watery floral bunch.
The scent is pretty delicious as odd as itmay all sound, but it lasts,
and the different hints of fragrance keep on coming and changing as
time goes on. It's a scent that seems to deliver a new scent everytime
you take in a hint of its fragrance.
Overall:
The last is long, and I was able to detect notes of Jean Paul Gaultier
'Classique' throughout the day. The scent it unique yet has that modern
'in the now'' treny spiced thing going on. It is delicious, and one
that I believe just about anyone will like.
