My cousin and I would always come across these ridiculous looking fake
acrylic-toenail kits. Thinking we were funny, we would throw the
nasty-looking kit into one another's baskets, which would always make
for a good laugh during checkout. Never did we actually purchase them.
They looked too real, like someone had ripped the toenails off a dead
person, packaged them up and tried selling them.
However a few days ago while at my local Wal-Mart, the toenails didn't
irk me as much as they used to. In fact, if they worked, I imagined
they would look pretty damn nifty.
I purchased the Kiss Fashion Toenails Kit- French Bahamas.
Seeing how they were on sale for only $4.00 I figured, why not? I'll
try them. If they last for a long time cool...if they don't, no biggie. It's only $4.00.
In The Kit:
In the Kiss Fashion Toenails Kit- French Bahamas you get 24 toenails,
in 12 different sizes. Thats 2 of each size. A manicure stick, a small
vile of pink application glue, and some stickers. (Other kits vary).
Each toe nail comes with an easy to use application tab that is stuck
to the nail. They are placed here to allow you to apply the toenails
without getting glue on your fingers. According to the box, the tabs are
easily removed by moving them up and down until they fall off. You are
left with flawless salon quality toenails.
We shall see, we shall see...
Color:
Kiss Fashion Toenails Kit- French Bahamas is basically a pink toned french manicure.
My Use:
The toenails have a weird weaved type pattern on the back of them. This is to ensure a better stick to your real toenail.
I first went rummaging through the kit looking for the right sizes for
a perfect fit. Next I simply popped open the pink glue, (you have to
cut the glue stick with scissors to let the glue flow) I then applied a
small dab of the glue to the bottom of the toenail, and pressed it onto
my toenail.
The glue dried in just a few short seconds. Next all I had to do was
twist the toenail tab up and down to remove it, and blamo, I had a
perfect toenail. I was surprised at how real it looked, and how it
truly, truly looked like it was my own nail.
I applied the rest of them, and was stunned at how perfect they all looked. Did I mention how freakin real they looked!?
Last:
After falling in love with my toes, I then wondered how long this
beautifulness would last. Would I go to bed and wake up to only 3
sticking on? Or would they all last?
Well I'm happy to say that I am up to day 3 and the Kiss Fashion
Toenails Kit- French Bahamas, still look as fresh and brand new as the
day I applied them. I had no chipping issues, and none of them fell off.
I was not expecting a $4.00 bath of fake toenails to actually last as
long as they have, and still they are holding up like little pros.
It is not recommend that you wear them for longer than 10 days. I
figure though they can and will last longer, but I don't plan on testing
that theory, as it is not recommended.
Recommended:
Highly. I have never had better-looking toenails with such little
effort. I find that the Kiss Fashion Toenails Kit- French Bahamas will
be perfect for weddings, proms, and other special events. If you don't
have to attend any of what I just mentioned, than I recommend them just
because they are pretty, and would look good even at the beach, at home,
or wherever it is you find yourself.
To really pump up the look, add some of the included nail art
stickers, and apply a thin coat of clear polish. Simple, easy, flawless,
inexpensive, beautiful and long lasting. I couldn't of asked for more
for only $4.00.
I cannot wait to show my cousin how beautiful these toenails really
are. We used to make a mockery of them, but now I'll be heading back to
the store to stock up on other designs.
