Review of Revlon ColorStay Classic Nudes Eye Collection

I have always been a huge fan of Revlon ColorStay eyeliner, from the liquid pen to the twist up eyeliner pencil, nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to giving me longer, stronger smudge proof eyeliner, with beautiful deep dark coloring. Black of course is my eyeliner color of choice.

When I came across a set containing not only a blackest black eyeliner pen, but also an eyeshadow shade palette, I of course bought it because it cost just a few cents more than what I would normally pay for just the eyeliner pen.

The pallet of colors is called Classic Nudes, and it is claimed to stay on your eyes for 12 hours. I believed the claim because the eyeliner stays on until I remove it with a makeup removal pad.
The Classic Nude colors are as imagined, containing neutral nude colors ranging from light nude to darker in order to highlight and shade the eye lid. Everything you could possibly need is all included in the kit, from color to eyeliner.

The eyeshadow goes on easily and glides across the eye with little to no effort. Blending the colors together takes some time, but like applying, blending is done with the same amount of ease. I usually make the lower lid darker, and the upper lid lighter to highlight the eye and make it look bigger.
Now on to the real test, will the eyeshadow truly stay put for 12 hours?

My experiences using the 12 hour eyeshadow pallet in Classic Nudes did in fact impress me with its long wear, unfortunately though my pigment paints last much longer, and come in array of colors. When it comes to Classic Nudes, the colors are of course nice for simple casual wear, but the last is more or less 8 hours, with a necessary touch-up, as the color will build up in any creases you may have in your eyelid.

The flaw of course is easily fixed with just a quick swipe of more eyeshadow, or by wiping your finger across the eyelid carefully to blend the color back into place. Doing it this way however will remove some of the shadow making the eyes less flushed with color.

Overall:

Although the wear is not as long as the claim, the Classic Nudes Eye Collection is in fact an excellent low priced collection. The included eyeliner pen is simply to die for as it makes adding a thin or thick line of color to your eyelid so easy. It dries super fast, and lasts all day long; so while the eyeshadow may not be the best of the best, the eyeliner pen this set comes with definitely is. The eye collection is one I would highly recommend.
