Review of Lush: Miranda Soap

Lush's cream based soaps have always been my favorite type of soap Lush offers because they seem to have a longer lasting scent than their glycerin based soaps. Not only that, they lather in the shower or bath more like a lotion than a bubbly bar of glycerin soap. The cream based soaps also tend to leave my skin feeling softer once I dry off.

Miranda Soap is an all vegan soap, and is described on the Lush.com website as their fruit salad soap. Ingredients used in Miranda are added each for their own special benefit to the skin.

Bergamont to help calm and condition stressed skin. ylang yalng to tone the skin, and juniper to refresh the spirit. Vitamin C and of course Kiwi to as a gentle astringent.

It all sounded good, and the appearance shown on the site is also pretty good looking. In fact some would even consider it's light creamy lime green color good enough to eat. The soap itself also features small little kiwi seeds for some exfoliation. Lush always manages to win me over with their little seedy extras that they tend to add to a lot of their soaps.

In person Miranda resembles the same soap shown on the site. There is nothing really different or off about it. Some Lush soaps I have gotten in the past however don't even resemble what is shown on the site, so it was nice to see that Miranda Soap was exactly what I saw on their site.

Scent:

Out of the paper wrap Miranda Soap had a very mild fruity scent, but it was nothing overpowering or exciting. I didn't worry much about that though because most Lush soaps tend to activate it's powerful punch once used in the shower or bath. It's seriously as if the scent is only activated to its full potential when it's put to use.

In The Shower:

Miranda Soap take a bit to lather up into its creamy based lather. Like I said, the lather is more like lotion than it is soap bubbles. Once the lather got going though there was no issues. The lather itself runs down your skin like milks, and feels really nice on the skin.

The scent also upped its charge shortly afterward, filling my bathroom with a gorgeous summertime fruit. I smelled however more melon like attributes than I did kiwi. At any rate though, the scent is very lovely, and highly addicting.

Out Of The Shower:

I was hoping the gorgeous melon like scent would stick with me after drying off, but unfortunately as soon as I hit the towel, the scent of Miranda stood with the towel, and not on my skin.

My skin in general was left feeling really soft afterward though, so Miranda gets a gold star when it comes to leaving skin feeling clean, soft, and refreshed.

Overall though, Miranda works just as well as other cream based soaps from Lush. The scent is very addicting though, so it wins me over in that department. I do however wish the scent stuck with me after drying off.

In the shower I didn't notice any exfoliation though coming from the small black seeds that were stuck within the bar. They sort of just fell to the floor and went down the drain. The seeds were a pretty addition to making Miranda appear more enticing, but at the same time the seeds were not necessary.

Recommended:

Although the scent does not last I still recommend Miranda Soap because it does smell gorgeous while using it, and it does leave skin feeling very soft after using it.

I'd slap on a 4 star rating out of 5, when it comes to Miranda Soap.

Where To Buy:
