Review of New Pure DKNY, Perfume for Women

I love whenever someone surprises me with a fragrance I had never heard of before. I am not at all new to DKNY fragrances, and I simply adore Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist. I was beyond excited to be given a small sample of Pure DKNY, as I had never heard of it before, and did not know what to expect of it.

Before spritzing some on, I imagined it would smell like white linen, clean, white, pure and vague.
I had no idea that this transparent liquid gold would deliver such a delicious and wonderful fragrance.

The Scent:

At first Pure DKNY smelled a lot like a childhood favorite of CK One. However after the scent settles it gives off a beautiful clean spiced fragrance which to me, smells like cinnamon and apples, however the cinnamon apple scent I detect is masked up by a higher note of sweet vanilla.

For me, this particular scent by Donna Karan is my second favorite, next to Cashmere Mist.

The Last:

Sadly, unlike our long lasting friend Cashmere Mist, Pure DKNY does not last quite as long, and as strong. The last of course is there, but after about an hour the scent fizzles into a more generic vanilla musk which is only detectable if you raise your skin to your nose and sniff.

The Bottle:

The Pure DKNY bottle is not really collection worthy, as it has a bulbous shape to it, with nothing going on as far as design goes. This is OK by me though, as I would just throw it out anyway due to lack of counter space. My sample vile however will run out fast, and yes, I will be picking this one up one my vile is done with.

Overall:

Like I said, although the last is not that long, perhaps half a day, the scent is delicious enough to want to continue using. It is one of a kind, original, and one that is casual, relaxing, and wearable throughout each passing season.
