My most recent obsession goes to Nicole by Opi Nail polish. Since my
first find, I have been scooping up these delectable nail colors
whenever I go out. The stars were aligned properly this weekend though
because all of the Nicole by Opi nail colors were on sale.
Seeing that there was a sale, I had very slim pickings, and since I
did not have any pink nail colors yet from the collection I decided I
would grab Pink A Dink A Pink (say that 3 times fast).
Through the clear bulbish bottle the color looked rather stunning, a
beautiful mix of a fuchsia pink, with a lighter colored deep hot pink
that seemed to roll together as one, like a beautiful musical syllable.
Although I have never been all too fond of hot pinks on my
fingernails, I figured I had not gotten a single Nicole by Opi nail
color that I didn't like, so odds were I would like how Pink A Dink A
Pink looked as well.
The Color on Nails:
Pink A Dink A Pink I suppose is an acquired nail color. I knew pinks
never worked well with me on my nails, and Pink A Dink A Pink was no
exception. The color left behind was pretty yes, but the pink was just
to blazing. On the nails it looked like metallic pink, but when I moved
my fingers around a bit it seemed to have a darker hot pink hue that
just didn't sit well with me. It was too pink, too flashy, and too much.
The metallic mirror like shine also didn't help matters because it was
so high beam scream.
Granted this color would look fantastic on others who enjoy hot pink metal looking nails, for me, it just didn't work.
Last:
The color does in fact last, and like all Nicole by Opi nail colors,
it will not fade either. You won't see much fading up until around day 5
or 6. By then though, if you are a nail polish freak odds are you have
already changed the color by day 5.
Overall:
Pink A Dink A Pink is a nice color for those who like pinks on their
nails, however if pink nails have never been your thing, this color
won't satisfy you either.
