I went on a nail polish binge this past weekend, and this was basically
how I ended up picking up a bottle of Sally Hansen Sun Kissed Nail
Polish.
The sale was too much to resist, and I ended up snagging the color for
just $1.94. I had used nail colors by Sally Hansen before, and for the
most part have rarely been disappointed in what the company has to
deliver.
Sun Kissed Nail Polish however is another story.
The Color:
On the shelf, the reason Sun Kissed made it into my basket, and into
my home was due to the fact that the color was relatively stunning, and I
didn't have any orange glow nail colors in my collection. I figured for
the low price, and nifty unique color, I would go ahead and buy it.
It's a beautiful matte colored neon orange color, but the neon color
is not too bling, bling or high beam gloss like other neon colors. It
seems like a nice sun kissed glow, and the name suited it well.
My Use:
I got to using it last night, and frankly I hate it.
I was disappointed in this one because the color is gorgeous, however
the polish itself was nasty, and dries nasty. It came out with a slimy
texture to it, as if the bottles cap was left open and the polish was
drying up inside of the bottle.
As I tried painting my nails, the clumps gathered more and more
because the polish was drying up in globs on the brushes tip. Once I had
my nails fully painted, I had to wait a very long time for them to dry,
and then I noticed that as they were drying they were drying with a
textured crinkly look.
What I was left with were orange nails that looked dry and dehydrated. Sun burnt.
Overall:
Sorry Sally, this one is junk, and I would not recommend it to anyone, even at this incredible sale price.
