Review of Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel

I don't suffer from huge mounds of pimples, but occasionally a nasty mountain of a mump will form on my face. Luck was in the stars with me though recently though because my uncle whom I cherish came out for a visit, toting with him a giant bag filled with cosmetics, and beauty supplies. Inside this bag I came across a very small .3 ounce plastic squeeze bottle of Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel.

The bottle itself was strange, and probably the smallest bottle of acne medication I have ever come across. Seriously at first glance I thought I was holding a micro bottle of wedding bubbles.

Inside of the plastic easy to squeeze bottle there was clearly a clear liquid gel within it.
I figured this stuff would be easy enough to use. Simply dab a bit of this gel onto my problem area, and bam done!

Directions:

You are supposed to apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day, or as needed. If peeling occurs over time it is suggested that you cut back on the amount of times per day you apply the gel.

My Use:

I unscrewed the bottles cap and ran into an issue, seeing how the liquid is clear and the bottle has a strange shape to it, you can accidentally squeeze too much of the gel out. So, my first tip is to squeeze it gently, otherwise you could end up squeezing out the entire contents of the bottle- which isn't much!

After getting some of the gel onto my finger, I then located my 2 pimples that I wanted to get rid of. One on my chin, and one on my cheek close to my ear.

The second I dabbed the pimples with Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel I felt a very mild tingling/burning sensation. Those with sensitive skin (or those weak to pain) may find discomfort for a short second, but truly it is a passing feeling, and not very painful at all.

Some people have complained about the scent. I however found the scent of the gel to be rather soothing. It has an herbal menthol type scent to it that vanishes as quickly as it absorbs into your skin. If you hear people telling you that this stuff will make you gag, then obviously they are drama queens. Its a scent, you will either like it or not, but it will not make you gag (unless you are pregnant maybe?).

I went to bed shortly afterward, hoping to wake up to much smaller pimples, or better yet dried out pimples.

No such luck though. I woke up to the same monsters that were there the night before. I applied more Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel in the morning, and then again in the afternoon. I figured by NOW there would be some sort of results.

The results though were minimal, and nothing special. My two pimples were still there, only they were dried out and not as large.

Other acne creams I have used seemed to work just as efficiently. Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel does work, so I have to give it credit where it is due, however other creams and spot treatments work just the same.

Overall:

Origins Spot Remover Acne Blemish Treatment Gel works, but it works just as well as cheaper acne creams. This is not a miracle spot remover! In my opinion it is also over priced at $12.00 for a small .3 ounce bottle.

It's my opinion that if you are looking for an acne treatment, you seek elsewhere.
