Review of Vera Wang Look Sheer Body Lotion

Marshall's is an awesome spot to pick up perfume for really dead low prices, however once a blue moon while I'm in a rush and thinking I am buying a cheap perfume, instead I end up with lotion because of my own stupidity and carelessness.

This was how I ended up with Vera Wang Look, Sheer Body Lotion. Initially I thought I was getting a $10.00 bottle of Vera Wang Look Perfume, however once I got home and yanked open the box to see what my new perfume smelled like, I instead pulled out a perfume shaped bottle of lotion.

I was disappointed but I like perfumed lotions just as well, so figured I'd just keep it if I liked it. If not, I'd just go back and return the stuff.

I'm no newbie when it comes to sheer lotions, and one of my top favorites are Bath & Body Works Sheer Lotions/ Satin Lotions. I hoped that Vera Wang Look had the same sheer silky consistency as other sheer lotions I have used before. I figured it would though because when I pumped the lotion out it had that same pearly silky consistency that any other sheer lotion would have. It's nice feeling, it goes on smooth, and spreads like heaven.

Vera Wang Look Sheer Lotion did just that, but it did not travel quite as far as others did, nor did it have that long lasting silky effect that I absolutely love when it comes to silky textured lotions.

The scent was also mediocre, it was fresh, and had a warm vanilla tint to it that I liked, but it absorbed into my skin so quickly an apparently it absorbed the scent with it as well. I was left with nothing, the sheer silk feeling had gone, and so had the scent.

Basically it was like putting heaven onto your skin, but only having it stick around for a few seconds, literately.

Overall:

Sadly Vera Wang Look, Sheer Lotion failed to impress me. I liked it at first, but it did not last long enough on the skin for it to have any type of good lasting impressions. I'd suggest skipping this one all together.

Oh well, maybe next time I will read labels more closely.
