Review: Paul Mitchell Super Strong Shampoo

I have never really used Paul Mitchell hair care products before, but time after time I have friends who have consistently recommended it to me. Due to the high prices slapped on to many of Paul Mitchell's products though, I avoided them. With my non-stop summer activities which include swimming in the ocean, or the pool, my hair tends to take a toll, creating weaker, more brittle hair. When I came across Paul Mitchell's Super Strong Shampoo, I figured for $8.98, it may be worth it, considering the shape my hair was is this summer.

It comes in a white cylinder shaped stand up tube, with a pink click up cap build right into the top of the bottle. The bottle itself was rather small though, and came with 10.14 ounces of the shampoo. I have very thick hair, and knew that this small bottle would likely only be good for up to 10 uses, or less. For such a small amount of product, I hoped it worked, otherwise it would be a really big waste of money.

The scent is nothing that will fascinate the senses, it has a fresh clean scent to it, with a very, very subtle undertone of musk. It is nice, but it also smells really generic considering the fact that many low end shampoos have this fresh clean scent to them.

The purpose of Paul Mitchell Super Strong Shampoo is obvious considering its name. It is meant to strengthen hair, add shine, rebuild, and protect the hair.

My Use:
 
In the shower, I squeezed out a hefty handful of the shampoo, which has a nice thick consistency to it. The lather though was exceptionally unique, as it seemed to feel like I was working with a lather full of foam, and not bubbles like other shampoos. The unique texture and feel of the lather though was spectacular, and I think many of you whom give this one a try will love how it lathers, and how it drenches itself into each and every strand of hair.

The surprising factor to Paul Mitchell Super Strong Shampoo is that when I rinsed it out, my hair did not at all feel dry or parched. Usually when I rinse with shampoo the result is parched hair, that is only fixable by adding a huge flock of conditioner.

Results:
 
The results were felt, when I stepped out of the shower, my hair was kink free, knot free, and felt soft, smooth, and silky.

I let my hair air dry to see the overall results. It felt lovely when wet, but as my hair dried I felt and noticed a thicker more fluffy texture to my hair which I hated, because I normally have thick frizzy hair.
Although it was not my all time favorite choice of shampoo, I will still recommend it to women who are looking to add body to their hair. It does that easily. For those with thick frizzy hair like me though, you may want to skip on it.
