Review: Sebastian Volupt Conditioner

Recently I fell in love with my hair, harder than I'd ever fallen in love with it before. You see, my normal hair is dry, frizzy, and really thick and puffy. I used to avoid volumizing shampoos and conditioners like the plague; that was primarily because every volumizing products I have ever used on my thick hair, would only puff it up and make it bigger and frizzier than it normally was.

Sebastian Professionals has always been a salon favorite of mine, but the price of their products are usually too high for my blood. I wanted to try their newest collection called Volupt though, which includes shampoo, conditioner, and a handy leave in spray.

The conditioner is what we are going to focus on today.

My Use:

After shampooing my hair with Volupt shampoo, I went ahead and added a decent glop of the Volupt Conditioner to my hair and let it sit in for around 4 or 5 minutes. The conditioner itself has an odd consistency and texture to it, that the shampoo also had. It's like this slick residue that made me worry that it would leave my hair feeling greasy.

The scent is decent, but really nothing so spectacular to write home about. It just smells fresh, and clean, like an atypical hair product. No florals, or sweet fragrances to note.

Rinsing out the conditioner was actually easier than rinsing out the shampoo. The slick residue washed away as I rinsed, and what I was left with was slick, knot free wet hair; just the way I like it.

Styling:

I have been styling my hair in curls as of late, and I have to be careful with products I use because some of them make my hair frizzy and flat, while others puff out the curls too much, in a more wispy uncontrollable manner.

When it came to washing my hair with Volupt though, I was left with nothing but defined beautiful soft curly hair, with a ton of healthy looking volume (not the puffy Afro poof that other volumizers leave behind).
I was beyond impressed. I did not have huge high hopes when it came to this volumizing conditioner, but nothing but excellent results were delivered, and excellent flawless hair days have finally been discovered. My hair never feels flat since Volupt, it does not feel greasy, nor is there any frizz that needs to be combated with a can of hairspray.

Overall:

If you are looking to pump up the volume, then look no further than Volupt by Sebastian. The results are noticed, by not only you, but those around you will be asking how you got your hair to look so thick and healthy. Well there is your secret; it's Volupt.
