Review: Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow Pan

Stila Cosmetics probably offers the strangest services when it comes to makeup... for instance was given a Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow, but was told that Stila sells their eye shadows in pans, and that you have to buy the case to place the pan into it.

It was the weirdest thing I've ever heard, so after checking out their official site, I was pretty shocked to learn that this was a cunning way to get people to spend more money than need be.

Overall the idea is mint though, I'm all about going green, saving compact tins and re-using them... but all in all it's just straight up inconvenient, and costs the customer more.

At any rate though, no matter how strange I find this practice, I'm still here to review they eye shadow.

The Color:

Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow Pan comes in a pan, literately. The color according to their site is a matte nude pink...which is almost right, but I would say that it has a very subtle tint of an antique orange in it.

I personally would of just called Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow, powdered peach, but that's just me. When the colors are combined, it just has a very peachy color to it, which is why I think the name is more suitable.

My Use:

Seeing how the color is near flesh in color, I figured Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow would make for an excellent base to start my eye shadow off with.

I applied the shadow to the entirety of my lid, and then added some other darker colors to blend with Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow. Stila however has a hard time blending, as it doesn't seem to blend- but disappear.

Yep, the case of the vanishing eye shadow.

Last:

What last? It vanished! Up in smoke, adios, gone...no more!

Overall:

Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow, just didn't cut it for me. It seemed to vanish when I tried to blend it with other brands of eye shadows. I'm guessing Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow Pan only works well with other Stila product? Not quite sure to be honest. All I know is that if you try blending this color into your lids... it simply ghosts. It may be there...but we just can't see it.

Pricing and Availability:

Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow Pan comes to $18.00. Add another $2.00 for a tin to hold the eye shadow pan, and Stila Cosmetics, Bouquet Eye Shadow comes to $20.00 even and throw some tax on top of that.

It's just not worth it in my opinion. I imagine that there are some colors in the collection that would be worth it, Bouquet though just does not make the cut.

I'd personally rate this particular eye shadow color 1 out of 5 stars.
